Last weekend I used for the first time my new SV2 (I had SV1…) on handlebar of my MTB. I have notice that the SV2 has a problem to show clear the maps on the display (use without route) .

When you select the map the display, after around 8 sec, it decreses the brightness; again after around 8 sec the display goes in standby mode (or dark mode of the map) and is impossible to see the map while you ride 😕 . You can show the map clear only to touch or push the botton but when you ride is not easy.

To solve the problem I think that they could develop an option on the SPORT MODE for the bike activity, that doesn’t permit to go in stand by mode (maps all dark). Sure the the battery consumation will increse but we can choose what we need with the option.

Otherwise using the map (in sport mode activity) on handlebar bike use is very difficult and not useful. Someone has had the same problem???

I hope in the future fw upgrade for all the bikers. 😊

@matteo_000 you can enable AOD in sport mode settings. Than it works. But battery is drained faster at least on Race 2.

@Tomas5 I have try but with display set in sport mode activity

          • brightness: ! HIGH
          • display: ALWAYS ON
after around 8 sec + 8 sec the map goes dark.

I know that the battery drain would be faster but if I need (sometime during the ride…) to see the map for the correct route now is impossible especially for MTB use.
I think that a specific option would be the solution.
