@Sebastiaan-van-leeuwen I’d really like this feature. Sure some people won’t, but having it as an option would be super useful. Currently I’m essentially only using the map screen on new routes, making the rest redundant as I can’t be switching all the time.

Hi @all! I just want to give a little feedback after a while. I was out on several longer mountaineering trips during the last weeks. The missing breadcrumb issue is solved imho. Thank you very much for fixing this, suunto vertical now was a perfect companion for all my trips and a worthy successor of my ambit peak 3. I can recommend it to everybody who is looking for a watch for mountaineering. Even one of my team mates noticed that the display works super good in bright sunlight. So I am super happy with it. If you use full gps and the map display most of the time ( which I usually do), battery lasts for about 25 hrs. So you can do one longer tour of 12-15 hrs + your way to the mountain hut the day before. If you want to do more trips in a row, it’s better to have the possibility to recharge (I have the non-solar version). But hey, that’s totally OK for me and I am happy that vertical now covers most of my needs. It is a good and powerful tool for mountaineering after the issues, I had with it during the first months of use, are now sorted out. So have fun with it!

@Sascha-Domres Thank you for your remarks. I don’t want to risk falling down when running while looking at the map. At the same time I want to keep the stats of my run as correct as possible. If I stop to pan the map and plan my next move, I don’t want the watch to record the activity as if I was running. This makes the map a bit pointless if I can’t work with them when an activity is paused. I hope Suunto will come with new firmware to enable panning the map while an activity is paused. I support your suggestion to extend the zooming possibilities. Is there any special thread or group where people could make such suggestions and Suunto developers would see what are the most poignant concerns? I hope they visit the forum anyway, but I’d expect a special thread/voting for the most preferred requests. Thanks.

@isazi Thank you - yes I have connected/disconnected the SA and Strava, deleted all my segments and added a few back. Still not showing.

Thank you so much for the fast response. This was exactly the information i needed! I also think more about getting the peak because of the better battery.

@fenr1r Very very correct. Instructions are only necessary the very first time and them when we master the feature they are totally useless and forbid to have better information like you proposed.; May be just a suggestion here … in case of bearing nevigation setup, undertline The advantage is that you will visually very easily see the difference between when you are in the process to setup the bearing direction versus when you are just looking to the COMPASS [image: 1625484773273-undeline-when-bearing.jpg]

@S-Boardman Are you syncing with Suunto App once per day? Is the green GPS icon lighting up on the watch prior to your start? It is possible that you do not have a current AGPS file and the watch does not “know” where you are. The route will not show properly under those circumstances. To check AGPS on the watch go to Settings/General/About and make sure the AGPS file is current. If not you need to sync with SA and ensure GPS is optimized and a current (today’s date) AGPS file is present.
