Crash reports collection Q1 2026

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos Is this thread still valid in the rest of the year if I experience crashes?
-
@Horizontal_2 I hope this topic will never be needed again.

-
@HonzaS
I hope so. But I would really like to know what caused those crashes. -
6 crashes in 2 years is way too much. I only had 1 in just over one and a halve year. Obviously it happened in a race.
Once in a race, within weeks of having the watch. Another two or three times during tracking and two times on holiday while charging and once while sleeping that I described in another topic…

I have removed R2 from charger, it froze, saw only —% instead of battery percentage and it rebooted itself after I put it back on charger. FYI

-
@OutdoorMan The strap is awesome.
-
@Highlands yes it is, my favorite one : )

Just sharing my experience with random restarts. Suunto service replaced my watch with a new one. Now I have no random restarts, even in situations where I could trigger a restart using Suunto Plus on my old watch. So in my case, it was a hardware defect. Now I’m a happy Vertical 2 user.

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos My Vertical 2 crashed during a bicycle commute activity today. I don’t use any Suunto apps, have nothing connected to the watch except a Pixel 8 Android phone. Latest firmware 2.56.28. I believe that it happened when I receive an incoming phone call. I answered it with my Bluetooth earphones (didn’t touch the watch) after noticing the incoming call on my watch.
I uploaded logs and sent you my email via chat.
Thank you for tracking this. -
Latest firmware 2.56.28. I believe that it happened when I receive an incoming phone call.
One of the crashes I experienced before 2.56.28 was triggered by an incoming text notification. So this might not have been fixed after all.

I got restart few days ago during walking activity and again it was triggered by incoming call. So it’s not repaired.
Already wrote it HERE in Q2 hotfix topic. -
@HonzaS send logs if it happens again and I’ll open a new bug report
-
@isazi Thanks! I will do that. I sent logs and chat with support, but it seemed to me, that they can’t create ticket. They recommended me for next time use help center/feedback through suunto app.

@HonzaS oh man, I was hoping this was gone for good. I haven’t seen this for a month but have been taking some time off
