Combining 2 workouts into 1 - My Suunto froze up today during a 59-km ultra run
-
Today I ran a 68km race (and by the way, I took 3rd place in the open category
…Anyway, at the 59km mark, my Suunto V1 seemed to stop the activity on its own.
I mean—the main watch face just showed up and the activity was not available.
I was a little pissed off, but oh well… There were 9 km left to the finish line, so I had to keep pushing and not worry about the watch.
So I started a second activity.
I’d like to merge the two activities into one—FIT files. How can I do that and import them into Suunto?
Also, I’m wondering if Suunto has any logs or something I can send to the developers so they can look into and debug the issue?
What I had enabled:
- Track GPS.
- Live-Track.
- Hydration reminders/notes every hour.
- Custom mode: Trial.
It’s likely that Custom Mode: Trial is the cause, or the Hydration Alerts from SuuntoPlus, because I haven’t used either of those before and haven’t had these issues.
Guys—how can I report this to the manufacturer?

@Adrian.S There is a separate thread where information about similar crashes is collected. There have been quite a bit of similar crashes reported. I have reported one as well. Let’s help Suunto engineers fix this issue, and I really hope it is fixed soon.
Here is the thread: https://forum.suunto.com/topic/15153/crash-reports-collection-q1-2026
I don’t think a custom activity is an issue. I use custom Trail Run activity on almost all of my runs, and the only crash that I’ve had was actually with standard Run activity with no extra S+ apps.

@sky-runner Thanks, I have reported the issue.

@Adrian.S here is a way to fix this. Export both activities as fit files. Use a third party to merge the files and export the merged as a GPX exercise. Upload the merged GPX into the sportstracker website. The merged file will be present and if acceptable you can delete the separate original files.
