If it was showing remaining time, I’m with you. But battery percentages are not equivalent to time…

Battery percentages are calculated, based on the voltage the battery can deliver. If the flashlight is on, voltage will drop. If the flashlight is turned off again, voltage will rise. Hence the jump in percentage.

(Based on observations of my camper battery. If the refrigerator turns on, the voltage drops. If the fridge turns of again, voltage increases)

I got crash/restart today in the middle of activity. I was climbing and watch was in my pocket, so I didn’t see that it restarted. I noticed it when I took it out of the pocket to stop the exercise, I am missing about 1h of activity. It crashed after about 3h.

I got restart now during walking activity and again it was triggered by incoming call. So it’s not repaired.

I got restarts last two times immediately after taking watch from charger.

@isazi I have uploaded logs last night using the Suunto app feedback feature.

@sky-runner if you send me a message with the email of you Suunto App account I can add them to a bug report, logs without a bug report are never looked at. There is already a report for this issue, apparently in some cases it is already fixed by the Q2 hotfix, and I see resolution of the original issue is assigned to next release.

@isazi hi may I count that this winter my vertical 2 will count properly all slopes for alpine skiing (same issue for snowboard and race 2). Last winter first one was empty see below

tested many times all the time same issue

By the way, the following steps almost 100% guarantee a crash:

1. Start an activity with navigation and S+ guide
2. Go to control panel and change S+ guide without stopping or pausing the activity
3. Exit control back back to the activity

I don’t know if this is specific issue or something that triggers a deeper issue, but I have just reproduced this crash for the 3rd time. I suspect this triggers a race condition deep in the software stack, it may be a symptom of a deeper issue. In fact this time the watch didn’t restart but remained completely black until I forced a restart with 12-sec push on the upper button. Previous times when I tried this it restarted.

I just got another restart when I got morning report. Any idea how to solve these restarts? They are getting more and more frequent

@sky-runner I just tested this process, and there was no restart. I started an activity with navigation and one S+ app. Then, without pausing, I added two more S+ apps – still no restart. I used to have issues with restarts, but since I got a replacement Vertical 2, it hasn’t restarted once.
