Saving exercise....
-
@nseslija Good to know S9 is at least consistent
-
Great news if Suunto add HR synch with 3 party hr belt…
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Some news?
-
I have this issue with SSWHRBaro occassionally. It just gets stuck like this. If I reboot (holding button) it goes back to normal and activity is fully synced so no data is lost. It happens really rarely though and only for longer activities. I use OH1 sensor.
-
Hi can you guide and help me here.
Is it a specific activity type ?
Does the watch disconnected ffrom the belt for this to happen ?
Something else ?
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos hi, it is cycling custom sport mode, everything was normal during the exercise,
I think is not related to HR strap…only my opinion… -
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Multiple activity types (martial arts, crossfit, indoor bike) for the extra long saving issue and this weird “hr sync” screen. Running for strange drops in H10 that otherwise seems to be fine (battery is reported as full, the strap is relatively new, about 12-14 months and not used heavily). One thing that’s the same among others – all sports mode in question were custom.
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos it just happened to me when I finished 8k run (not long activity, just 43min, non-customised sport mode - Run Basic) on my SSWHRBaro. After couple of minutes of watching “Saving…” I restarted the device holding a button. After reboot no data is lost and everything is in sync.
-
I have the described problem only when i use a external HR belt.
12 sec restart solves the problem with hanging saving screen.
No data lost but it’s annoying -
@ErbMar try this:
- turn on feelings
- after activity, enter feeling.
It should help.
-
@Maryn correct! This is an old issue with Suunto watch connected to external HR monitor. I live already long time with this bug.
Feelings should be set to on and after excercise need to be chosen. -
For me, it happened when using OH1 monitor so external device as well. It is annoying but I guess the fact no data is lost after reboot doesn’t make this issue a severe bug.
-
@jsr184 yes, no data lost. This cannot be classified as severe bug. I would put it it category (extremely) annoying since it is known a long time ago, I had it on my Spartan Baro as well (and on S9 baro now)
-
@morskilav I lost data (exercise) on Suunto 9 baro…
-
@nseslija it never happened to me. I’d always do watch reset via upper button and excercise is never lost. But if it is as you say then this bug should be escalated to severe one
-
Mmmm very strange. Never happened to me but today YES. It took 10’ saving exercise after I choose feeling in the exercise. After 10’ with the saving screen the watch didn’t show me the typical stats. It went directly to the watchface. At least the exercise was there and not lost
-
FYI I’m using a S9. Custom sport Mode. Feeling ON. Polar OH1 and stryd
But this is not the first time I run with this setup. Never happened to me until today
-
@jorgefd78 I have similar setup to yours i.e S9baro, Stryd snd Scosche Rhythm34 (HRM). I am not 100% sure but I think I hade a case where Feelings were ON and after workout I did not choose any emoji (simply pressed middle button to save) …and my watch stuck into endkess saving loop
-
@jorgefd78 It’s like coronavirus. Lays dormant for a week or two, and then – wham! – you find yourself intubated on the ICU bed coughing your lungs out Well, that was probably too graphic, but if it gets Suunto to look into the issue…
I suppose the point I tried to make: I run for months with external sensors and never had issues. But with a firmware updates after mid last year, something changed. After a while, the issue kicks in. Especially when iffy BLE broadcast like WHOOP gets involved.
-
@NickK totally correct! I read this post the other day and think to myself “wow! it’s strange. never happened to me” and yesterday when I realize that I was having the same error I though… “it’s not possible”

Maybe in the end it will also appear in suunto developers and they will fix it
