Suunto Vertical is here

@mikekoski490 Let’s call Non-OHR Version then not “athlete version”. Let’s call it “adventure edition” or Suunto Ambit (next gen) But probably won’t came true…
-
@suuntastic Maybe! I think if they launched a watch without OHR, all the reviewers would be like '…and what’s with the bezel, price point, and WTF - no OHR!!! What was Suunto thinking!!! So 1998…"
-
@mikekoski490 unfortunately probably
-
@tomasbartko will wait for the “gentleman” edition/Suunto 10 in about 6 month. Will have all the SV features in S9PP size at a lower price point, :dreaming:

Spot a difference…

Is there a reason why Suunto devices are still not being listed in Strava? It’s been this way for some time now.

You can rename your shoes as suunto vertical, and select your shoes for the move
-
@TyreseJ4 we had contacted Strava but it seems they are slow
-
@Tieutieu are your power zones set correctly? You can set separate zones for running.
-
@freeheeler @coqiner
just checked my sand watch and there is only one strap size in it -
@zhang965 I don’t have a Suunto Vertical and will never have one. I think I’ll stick with Garmin. This is just something I’ve noticed on Strava with the Peak Pro and the new Suunto Vertical.

Damn, you give envy to possess a Garmin.
BTW I did a comparison of 9pp and vertical, 9pp sucks at 360°
-
@zhang965 I can’t afford to have ‘‘em all.

Wait for special deal, + discount code + PayPal 4 times payment.will be a good deal
Vertical is not yet finished, you can wait till it became stable
-
@zhang965 But that’s kinda my point. Right now I’m using a new Fenix 6x. When the time comes I’ll need money to upgrade to the 7x or the Enduro 2 when Garmin releases something new; which it’s my understanding they’ll be releasing an updated Fenix 7 and Epix 2 in a month or 2. Unlike others who can afford to buy multiple watches from multiple brands, I have to pick one…and I’m ok with that. However with that said I think with the release of the Suunto Vertical, Suunto has possibly overtaken Polar (and possibly Coros). Now that’s just based on the quality of the product itself. Of course sales will tell a different story. Does anyone know how well the Suunto Vertical is selling world wide?

I think it’s selling great. Amazon apparently sold me a unit they didn’t even have – I pre-ordered the moment it was announced long before things got to items remaining count, let alone out of stock – and it wasn’t until I got through their retarded bots to a human rep an hour ago they copped out they are completely out of stock on orange Ti and the “delivers 05/17” and “shipping now” and all that jazz in the order status was just a bullcrap.
“Here’s a $35 gift certificate for your future orders at Amazon”
Even worse, I can’t cancel the stupid order there. Because you know, it’s shipping now!
They talk about Miami Minute, probably there should be Amazon Now defined as a period of time 24-48 hours or longer depending on support team to which the issue has been escalated.
-
@NickK Same situation here for me with Amazon dot CA.
Not shipped and when chatted to customer service they just said should arrive May 23.
Should I escalate further?
I don’t want to cancel because when I ordered it was for some reason 50 cheaper than a few hours later.
-
@mikekoski490 Amazon will probably honor your 05/23 date as the first wave of shipments will have been done by then and they’d claw themselves some new stock. Hopefully, your purchase and delivery would go better than mine!

No I have understood that I must do it properly if I want to use power for training. Right now I’ll still use HR

You can easily get an idea of your Power Zones by doing either a Cooper Test or FTP test (bike but just do a run). Analyze the avg power during the test and that should give you a good approximate. The FTP might give the Critical Power directly, I have not tried it.
