@pavel-samokha I’ve noticed the same issue with older activities not displaying animations properly. It seems like only workouts synced directly from the watch to SA are working. Would be great if there was a way to support imported or older activities as well! Regarding the speed discrepancy, that’s an interesting find. The difference between the max speed shown in SA and the white flag animation does make it seem like a conversion issue. If it’s pulling from different data points (peak vs. recorded max), maybe there’s a way to standardize how it’s displayed? Also, I’d really appreciate having an option to manually switch between metric and imperial. Since it’s based on locale right now, it can be a bit inconvenient for those of us using different systems across devices. Hopefully, this is something that can be addressed in a future update!

@Mff73 I can confirm that customisation of modes is list after a ‘regular’ update (e.g. in Basic Mode (Running): Touchscreen is deactivated again, Stryd/Pod is once more set on Footpod-mode and no longer the Powerpod-Mode I prefer etc.), while all connected sensors are still connected and fully operational. BTW - as far as I remember this always happened when performing a FW-upgrade. And as SA for me is still not able to replace MC (web), I sync the activities via BT to SA and do all planning etc in the much better to use MC-website, which is still more reliable and in line with the watch concerning HF-zones and other values, that are obviously interpreted differently by SA. The above mentioned changes connected to the FW-Upgrade are not ‘fixed’ by synchronisation with SA and/or MC.

@jsr184 said in SSSWHRBaro, SA and altitude issue: I don’t think air pressure indoor changes so much to indicate an increase of the altitude by 50m (one of the cases). Coincidentally I was just researching yesterday how much elevation can change due to normal weather patterns pressure change. Apparently, under normal weather patterns the pressure can change 0.1-0.2 kPa per hour which corresponds to 8-16 meters per hour. But 0.4 kPa per hour is not out of ordinary too, which means up to 32 meters per hour. How long was your activity? But it possible that the altitude is changed by FusedAlti. One way to find is to export this activity and look at Sea level pressure graph. If it is changing, that means the altimeter gets continuously recalibrated by FusedAlti.

What do you mean “sync nip one slip one” ? Well, if the old activities were already sent, of course is not syncing it. Check if the activity icon on logbook is colored (sent) or greyed (not sent). Anyway if (in SA settings) you add Movescount as an external service, you’ll send a request to import all the “old” activities from MC to SA. https://forum.suunto.com/topic/2899/movescount-history-import-is-open-for-all-users-spartan-s9-s5/6

I have same problem, I know I can reinstall app, but do I have to do it daily? I did it yesterday and evening activity (stretching) did not sync. Last unsynced activity was also stretching - is this just a coincidence? Morning weight training synced ok…

@Jamie-BG said in Merge or import activities: @darxmurf Could use this tool to merge: https://www.fitfiletools.com/#/top So could at least have one complete track. I know that merging tools exists, but I would loose my activitie’s informations => that’s why It would be great to have the ability to merge activities in SA directly.

@Jamie-BG generally speaking - I find being able to personalize data screens fantastic and it works fine, is readable, etc. But here’s the issue - you can define every field in every “regular” screen (ie. 3 to 7 fields) but somehow in carousel view top and bottom fields are locked.

  • How to change fitness level in Suunto App

@brunoh The starting fitness level is put in manually based on the ammount of training per week. Eg. 1-3 hours per week is FL 6, 9-11 hours is FL 8 and more then 15 hours per week is FL10. It is a 0-10 scale with 0.5 increments. When using a training program like Firstbeat Athlete this application also weighs the duration of sessions and the intensity and changes the Fitness Level when needed. The fitness level is used to calculatie Peak Training Effect using EPOC. When you have FL 5 you need a much lower EPOC to get to a PTE of for instance 4.0 compared to the situation you have a FL of 8.5. The fitter you are, harder/longer you have to work in order to get a wanted Training Effect. As I am using my watch to pace my sessions, it needs to be set on the right Fitness level. When I ride 40km on my bike and want to reach a PTE of 3.0 I have to get to an EPOC of 64 in FL 7.5. So I have to “yield” 1.6 units op EPOC per km. During my training I can see what distance I traveled and what the EPOC is and I know whether I am on track or have to change the intensity. When my FL is 9.5, I have to get to an EPOC of 80 and need to “earn” 2 units of EPOC per km.

And another one… Movescount app appeared to interact with WhatsApp and my mail client differently and give me a count of messages (or all the messages) rather than just the most recent message in the notification. SuuntoApp just gives the first bit of the most recent message which is much better.

@regger I use the lap button if I want to have different section metrics for my activity, for example rest time will be a separate lap. I rarely use pause and then only when I actually stop doing my activity for a while. However it would be nice to see some section stats not just for manual laps, but when using pause too.

@Shvffles I find the community in the Suunto app and this forum amazing. Watching other people’s outdoor workouts and adventures is just great and inspiring . From Norwegian Fjords to stand up paddeling in the Mediterranean sea there‘s so much to see, when you follow people in the app and read the threads here in the forum. Besides that, the community here is by far the most friendly, respectful and knowledgeable I know (only comparable to some groups back in the good old ‚Compuserve‘ and Usenetgroups days …back in the 90s ) - Oh God I’m so old …
