I have requested the ability to enable audio alarm for intervals and navigation (out of route). Once a session has started. I like to have the sound alarm turned off and only with vibration, but sometimes it is desirable to be notified with sound as well. As it is now, one has to go through many menus and do it before training. I realy hope that this get implemented in next update.

@Brad_Olwin said in VO2 Max and fitness level: Zones can be set a number of ways, the best is to get an LT test. OK, so after going through previously mentioned PDF and reading about all those tests… I think I will just leave it and live with it. I mean I am not a runner, I do not need this, I feel comfortable with my fitness level… although it would be nice if my watch appreciated my efforts @ollemelin said in VO2 Max and fitness level: How old are you and what is the best result of your coopertest? Did you ”go all out” on the test? I am 39 and I hit about 2,3k as a part of 5k run, so probably not absolutely the best I can do, but I kept my shoulder to the wheel. I hate fast running, I am hiking guy PS - really funny fact is that I checked my hiking records and on some of them I have fitness level exactly the same as in 5k running session. And hikings are like 25-30k with av pace ~15min/km. So I assume there must be more in it than just speed.

@Brad_Olwin yes, watch live data of course is available to S+ code. Just for ghost runner you would need to input data like desired average speed etc. This would need a way to enter this data into S+, like a parameter. Could be done in the watch directly or through SA, but currently there is no S+ function that makes use of user defined numbers. That’s why I suppose the Wings for Life is in there instead of a real ghost runner. Of course it’s just an assumption…

@pacos FC is heart rate? Anyway if you disable it, no resources and no heart rate.

@pacos I would try to record a “fake” one, just to see if it works. So you can check if it’s due to the watch wobbling or not

@mff73 I sit corrected. Reckon they’ll finish it off in the next six days to keep some form of custom-named point for iOS Spartans?

Today the lap trick did not work, and the time on watch and app is again different. Just wanted to report.

@runner Default running mode or custom one? If custom one, try deleting it and create a fresh one. It may have something corrupted.

@egika From an individual training point-of-view, 400 vs 410m is no issue. However, if you train in group, it’s rather nice that your watch registers the track length correctly. It’s not your watch who’ll determine how much you’ll need to run, but the track itself… But then the suunto does measure the intervals correctly. I understand the frustrations of the people who train on track. I sometimes have them myself as well, but luckily I also have some nice trails in the neighbourhood.

@david-young The bearing navigation is one of my favs. I love it when I train with a close friend we have something like a 3h run and we just roam. We call the feature : “Lets go there, most probably” FYI: I am a person that does not use a lot of feature other than this and navigation

@ze-stuart I agree with the issues with temperature when you wear the watch. Something also present in previous generations. I ended up adjusting the temperature. I found out that in normal situations, my Ambit 3 Peak offered around 7/9 degrees over real temperature if the watch was not covered by long sleeve. It is not perfect, of course, but a was very close according to my observations.

@temafey There a number of things to remember if you want to have better swimming track results: Water doesn’t transmit GPS signal so you can get track only if you’re swimming freestyle (crawl), not breaststroke or anything when your hands underwater for long periods Enable workout mode at least a couple of minutes before actual start so watch acquires best signal Do not make pauses in water during exercise. If you pause while you’re in water and your hands under water during pause - watch is losing signal. After you continue your swim it takes time before watch gets GPS fix again. Experiment with different GNSS combinations. While for running almost any GNSS is okay nowadays, it may have an effect for OWS. Try putting watch on different hand The only way to get perfect track/distance in open water swimming - is to use Swim Buoy and put watch in it. These are mine recommendations, based on my experience. Suunto also has some on this page https://www.suunto.com/Support/faq-articles/lifecycle/how-to-get-more-accurate-open-water-swim-tracking/
