@Brad_Olwin yes, now I am confused and don’t know in which thread to reply but since @GiPFELKiND PM-ed me, I answered the question there and passed on the log data already. what I wonder: did you, @GiPFELKiND , setup the wifi and were downloading maps while charging? I think this could be a helpful detail

@Shrek3k Sounds like you need a satellite phone connected to the iridium network. Otherwise I dont think any sports or smartwatch from any brand takes weather forecast to the level you need. Maybe someday?

@Tieutieu I can agree with this. I did a two hour run in and around a forest at the weekend, the map screen was on the whole time and I think I used about 2% battery from memory

In the watch details (sorry, screenshots in German) If you don’t have it, then it is in beta and will come later into production SA [image: 1695714556724-img_7305.jpeg] [image: 1695714556934-img_7306.png]

@Egika Das denke ich mir auch. Gerade bei der Schlafüberwachung ist sicher nicht das letzte Wort gesprochen.

@Tieutieu said in Excessive Battery Drain - Day Wear: @stromdiddily this one : (you should have it when you go down to the options from the watchface screen - check it’s off) [image: 1699895489023-img_7878.jpg] Oh my fault, literally just found it. Confirmed it’s off.

@Wilson75 said in Suunto Vertical - a Happy new owner !: What do you think about the battery consumption? The battery life is pretty epic, especially the solar model. If I’m honest I can’t say I ever noticed much by way of the solar, well that was until last week. Charged it to full on Wednesday morning then ran on Thursday morning for 2 hours using maps, which took it down to 97%. That afternoon I had an hour and a half drive to get back home and with the sunlight hitting it went back up to 100%, When I checked it the following day it was still on 100% For me I reckon I could easily get close to a month before I would be close to running it completely flat; FWIW I probably average around 60km/week of running plus at least a couple of walks

@Lian71 said in Sussen issues Vertical: Since yesterday suddenly out of the blue hassle with my Vertical. In 1 evening over Christmas dinner, my battery level dropped from 70% to 14%. Normally it consumes a few % per day! During charging it keeps giving incredibly irritating alarms, charging also stalls occasionally. Tried cleaning the contact points, but nothing helped. Tried soft reset, doesn’t solve anything. The new version was installed a while back and worked fine until yesterday. Anyone have any idea what could be going on? Thanks everybody! Did a hard reset and the problem is solved!

With the recent update many sport modes have their “default apps” that come with them. Like the soccer counter with soccer etc. All those are refreshed with every sync and this is what makes the sync longer. I personally think, the longer sync is not the issue, the problem is, that you have to wait for this to finish to do other things like sport mode customization… Hope this will be changed…

@Fenr1r That would be great if an app can do it.

@twekkel that section is for feature requests for the app, not watches.

Like for many other limitations that were hardware limits in previous watches (number of S+ apps and guides, maximum length of an activity, and so on), some are remaining from the old models. I will report this to Suunto.

@duffman19 yeah I definitely think their background elevation data is pretty off. It doesn’t line up with the elevation markings on their own topo maps. The top elevation on the climbing guidance is always below that their own topo map says, and what my verticals barometer says when I’m there. Which makes it kind of useless if you don’t know that the climb is actually 100meters or more than the climbing guidance says
