@iterumtenta said in Navigation off by default: @Łukasz-Szmigiel I agree. It is upsetting. Agreed also. Every single time, I have to go and set it to off, it’s really annoying. I don’t want that extra screen, especially a breadcrumb for 90% of my runs which are around the house.

@larrybbaker that is the technique I use now and it does seem stressful. But I still find the implications very poor, a slight knock and it is out of alignment. The older Suunto clip charger like the Traverse had was secure and not dependent on magnetic attraction. Luckily we don’t have to charge very often and the Vertical charges quickly.

@Jiri-Kroutil My Solar Ti is working fine on this firmware. No altitude issues. However, I live at ~1600 m and between work and home is ~200 m change. My runs typically have 300m or more elevation gain and SkiMo closer to 1000m where I am usually at 3500-4000m. When my altitude at home or work is incorrect I really don’t care. What matters to me is elevation gain/loss while working out. When I do an exercise at home or work FusedAlti corrects to the right altitude but we have very strong weather and that can change in a day or less. Absolute altitude at home or work just isn’t that important to me.

@Sascha-Domres yes, even the route, breadcrumb and pointer on white background would be useful.

@freeheeler True, that’s a good comparison. And in fact, I don’t remember there being a shutdown function on my S9Baro either.

@isazi thats great news . I can live with the flaws in resources and as a „long time“ metric I find it quite useful. I am looking forward on what Suunto is developing. The development of app and the new features in the Vertical are really amazing! I just wanted to tell @GiPFELKiND that the resources „jumps“ are nothing new here

@EricChandler The font size is not configurable, at least not yet. And emoji support is also missing. Many improvements and fixes have been rumoured to come in the next release. Those who know won’t tell.

@isazi yes. I think we mean the same. I only use manual waypoints when creating a route and rarely have TBT on. But I never used „official“ POIs. Maybe I should try it out once ️

@Egika Unless a device follows at least the specification for usb 1.0 (which includes power negotiation for up to 500mA @ 5v) it isn’t allowed to use the USB logo or branding. A chip to handle the spec costs no more than a few pence these days so it’s highly unlikely you’ll buy a charger carrying the usb branding that doesn’t follow the spec. You could pretty easily test whether a charger does actually do the handshake by sticking a little tape over the 2 middle pins of the USB-A plug or socket as these are the D+ and D- data pins needed for the handshake. If your device doesn’t start charging or takes days to charge you can, I think, conclude it’s only receiving the default 150mA.
