@Ollipolli I know people will say ā€œif you tweak the alg, people will complain it’s not sensitive enoughā€ But like… literally, Suunto is the absolute worst with its current sensitivity. It’s comically bad. Dial it back a tad and I think we make those who really care about steps a tad bit happier. Not asking for the world, but from a company that doesn’t seem to listen as is… the debate is still out on whether anything actually happens. That said, it has encouraged me to pay closer attention to my logged miles / minutes doing workouts, rather than just steps from casual walking, etc. It’s also important to acknowledge that no wrist base watch is 100% anyway. At least with modern generation Apple Watches, Garmin’s and Coros devices… they are much closer to 95% than Sunnto lol. The way I’m seeing it… is that if I am running a few miles a day, hiking, working out, those saved numbers are more beneficial to me than some counted steps.

@MichaĆ«l-POINTEAU can you show an example? I am not sure I’m getting what you mean. I used structured workouts with the Vertical and custom sport modes and it’s fine.

@Mads-Hintz-Madsen said in Heart rate weird: @bikedocben Since the max. heart rate is listed as 156 but the graph clearly shows a HR of close to 200 then it looks like there is some Suunto App display issue or then the reported HR from the Vertical somehow got corrupted on its way to the app. On the Race you can also see the HR graph on the watch itself. Can you see the HR graph on the Vertical itself for that activity and does it look similar to the graph in the Suunto App or is it more similar to what you observed on your watch during the activity? Maybe that can give some to what went wrong. Heart rate graph on watch is the same as is on the app.

When I started to use the watch the only thing that worked for me to clear the notifications (all) was to turn off and on the watch. Since then I have disabled notifications.

@BrunoH said in How many runs are needed for one outdoor run?: My HR goes up to zone 5 in less than 5 mins and it is hard to keep going in Z5 that long. (Yes, there are wrecks like me in here ) Since they don’t state, that you must have a constant pace, I would set a zone 3 alarm before running, start running slowly and as soon as I would reach the upper zone 3 limit (or the medium zone 4 - if thatā€˜s still bearable) I would walk until I fall back to the middle of zone 3 and then start running again. In zhat way you should be able to constantly stay in zone 3 for those 8 minutes

@Stoke80 I see the HRV in the widget but with the note that you need 14 days of tracking. it does show a value in the widget but without the colored scales yet. On the watch face I see a number but it says no data and the color bars are not populated. will see what happens at day 14…

@Patrick-Lƶffler-0 said in Recovery sessions: I wear any smartwatch in the Sauna. The temperature of the watch does not get so high as one might think. OK, You both saw where I was going with that first question. I like sauna’s, but personally I never wear my watch, I’ve killed a Garmin 735 at this game and a heart belt (deliter because the glue had taken a knock). Suunto shares for my SRace : -20° C to +55° C / -5° F to +130° F. Even in the centre of the room in the lower part, if it’s only 50/55°C you’re already supposed to be at the maximum of the watch. In short, I’m not sure that Suunto intends to create a sauna label, which will inevitably give the idea that it’s perfectly suited to saunas. I’m already finding it hard to see the point of mermaid swimming in the list…, so I wouldn’t be too keen to see the arrival of sports, sauna/ice bath/massage/compression/massage gun labels etc… Maybe just a ā€œRecoveryā€.

@ionparvan @Umer-Javed Thanks for the idea, I should have thought of this. The update will be coming soon for the 9PP. Use the Customization to Pin the Map on the Vertical, if not recording an exercise this will allow quick access to POIs On the 9PP you will be able to pin the Compass as the pinned Widget, this will also allow quick access to location and POI. Update for 9PP should be soonish.

With my Suunto Race it does the same thing. If I hit a button to see the time at night, I get the sleep summary - game over. With my Vertical it was more hit or miss as described here. Kind of annoying.

@throwaway12345 I would contact support in the app by chat. Sounds like a faulty watch. They will likely replace it.

@Danny-poleg I always have the same behavior when I don’t move. it’s pretty normal because altitude is first of all barometric measured + gps corrected.

Working for me too (on Vertical, Rave, and S9PP). We had few big storms recently in NL and the alarm rang.

I don’t get it either. You need to set up the wifi to access in the app anyway. The function to enter the password is there. Built in. No need for a workaround.

@johansson you are most welcome and I have no doubt you will enjoy your Vertical Solar! I applaud you for doing ā€œyour homeworkā€ before purchasing as well. Just something I will add as I found out while doing sandbag training (cleans and overhead presses) the little button that holds the end of the strap would come undone or dig into my wrist. I ended up changing out my strap to an ā€œApple watch oceanā€ style which worked out better for me. This one in particular: https://a.co/d/5SYeamt
