Hi all, using Suunto App on Andorid phone. App Version 6.2.2 on Android 15 Some dives are syncing, some dives are don’t. Already tried deinstalling, deleting bluetooth pairing, install again. Missing dives still don’t sync. Die a factory reset now and hope dives will sync again. Sad story: all logs are also deleted, that was different on my old D5.

@Jonathan-Knittel I believe the AXS only supports one, single bluetooth connection. So if it’s paired with the phone, it can’t pair with the ocean. Try unpairing it from the phone and see if the ocean finds it.

@Flops you are aware that here and there there are bugs in SW releases and that here and there some watches reboot, crash, etc. It happens. I am not sure if you want this happen to an Ocean… in an ocean. That could be a disaster. Hence I understand the holdback.

@ogillot said in Suunto Ocean SW update 2.38.42 (2024 Q4): @Kevin-Major time to shift to Garmin, either G2 ou MK3i. There is an update coming and the update is in testing. Others have stated this here as well. It shouldn’t be a long time before the update arrives. Others have said this as well.

@iamer Thank you, but no problem if you prefer pressing buttons. Personally, I prefer having a better computer.

@duffman19 said in Mon phase from the wrong direction ( Suunto Ocean): The implementation they chose is a bit confusing and could be better. by judging from what I see, it’s not just confusing, it’s wrong, it looks unable to correctly reproduce the Moon phases

@Mff73 The Suunto Ocean dive computer uses different sampling rates for scuba and freediving modes to match the demands of each activity. In scuba mode, the device logs dive data at 10-second intervals, balancing data detail with battery efficiency for longer dives. In contrast, freediving mode records data every 1 second to accurately capture rapid depth changes and short dive durations. These rates apply to key metrics such as depth, time, temperature, and heart rate, and are stored in the logbook for later review. Currently, these sampling rates are fixed and not user-adjustable. Some other dive computers have adjustable and higher sampling rates.

@aquanaut I am used to Suunto dive watches like mosquito or D4i but I don’t know how the Ocean software is working. Nevertheless when you wear a D4 or D6 for casual days and you swim, it is uncommon to trigger a scuba dive even if automatic detection is selected. And if you want to free dive in a swimming pool or is open waters it is recommended to select the free dive mode to avoid triggering scuba and all the safety related to. And for a dive computer, safety is key. I am interested to get a Ocean in the future and I hope there is a feature that allows to deactivate scuba diving mode when you are just swimming, free diving.

@RobertF I think I’d prefer a knot rather than the metal components which, well, a knot can’t really fail, rust or snag on dry suits.

It seems that “legs only” drills are still not counted correctly as preselected. That’s a absolutely pointless as that is one of the main reason for using the swimdrills app…!

@dcnucsb Have you updated the Ocean to latest firmware? Stock watches carry old firmware on delivery.
