@Egika I did another trailrun this morning and paid some more attention to the notifications. You were right about only the red and green categories trigger notifications. In the mean time I also figured out what the other buzzes were. Those are the pre-warnings about the climb or descend that will happen in 100m. Because my watch was on the map screen I didn’t see those warnings. Those are only shown on the altitude profile screen.

@sartoric Sadly i can´t use the exact same watchface again because they removed it. I think you are right by saying that the new watchfaces are not yet optimized for the Race S. Hopefully that will change with the next patch.

@Brad_Olwin Dear Brad! Where can I find this screen in my Race S watch? I try to determine power zones for running but I don’t see app or screen which shows running power. I have found only FTP Test app for bicycle but also showed me nothing during bicycle ride. I run almost every day and application indicates TSS by § - and my power findings from chart are not correct. And today after 14km long run in 2 zone Sunto app clasified it as anaerobic what is not true. Maybe I am missing something but power zones are my problem now. Please let me know, how solve it.

Anecdotally, Garmin, Wahoo, and Karoo will all tell me, sometimes, to turn left when it’s clearly a right turn, or to take the wrong number of exits on a roundabout. I’ve noticed it when driving with Google and Apple Maps, too: I think we as a species have not learned how to correctly explain turn directions.

Suunto It only shows next waypoint, next waypoint. It does NOT show turn left, or turn right. what is the problem? Befor recent update all worked fine and now it’s useless distraction

@tran-thang came back to suunto after a few years of garmin with race s. It is indeed a drawback to not know in which lap you are. Am i going to suffer the next 10 minutes or is everything all over.

@Inge-Nallsson maybe I had to be more clear. All I want to make clear is that there are multiple preferences and so for only the ‘opposite as it is now’ had a voice. If Suunto does something about it, I just hope they add a configuration and not just reverse the current behavior.

@gerstlauer I agree that - long time - insights, like resources or sleep time (e.g. seeing that going to bed earlier or sleeping regularly results in long time higher HRV or lower resting HR) can be helpful, but I dislike short term scores like Garmin gives you for everything. They are way too much. Give me the data I choose and let me interpret it myself.

@herlas said in Stryd Air Power: Stryd account connected to Suunto account. Suunto connected to TrainingPeaks. Stryd account connected to Suunto account; same Suunto connected to TrainingPeaks; same I also have Stryd connected to TrainingPeaks, without that my planned/executed TrainingPeaks workouts don’t show in Stryd. I’m not using the Suunto Stry app. Stryd have removed all duplicates for me. I’ve ordered a Coros Pace Pro.

@Todd-Danielczyk I have the same problem with my OnePlus 5 under Android 10. Sometimes control previous and next work but play/pause never work. I have tried several solutions but none of them work in the long term : turn off Bluetooth and on again, delete the watch, uninstall Suunto App… Still the same problem. And this is the case on my 2 Suunto : 9PP and Vertical. The only effective solution I found is to order the tracks with the headphones.

@Danny-poleg There were some initial test models that had less storage, I believe. Mine has 32GB and all Race S production are 32 GB.

@Malersh the start of the arc is the current hour (like it would be with analog hands). The end of the arc ist the steps vs your step goal

@far-blue No problem. I made research and found interesting solution All is here: https://youtu.be/a_LR1oula_0?si=WlHVB7TmKjmmyJZm I found proper link to calculators described in movie (web page has changed): https://www.8020endurance.com/80-20-zone-calculator/ Today after running test with 3 and 9 minutes intervals I had all data and adjusted all. Should be OK.

I managed to resolve it without reset to factory and without clearing cache and data of the Bluetooth app. I did (not sure of the exact order): Remove old Suunto watch (Spartan Trainer) from the device list in the App Delete Suunto App data/cache (I wanted to unpair the watch from the phone but did not find it in the Bluetooth list(?). Maybe it unpaired when clearing the App data or I misremember.) Turn off Bluetooth on the Phone Unpair (forget) MobileApp on the watch (Settings - Connectivity - Paired devices) Turn off discovery on the watch (Settings - Connectivity - Discovery) Log into app Pair watch again (turn on Bluetooth and Discovery first) Most likely not all of those steps are required but I would rather not have more opportunities to figure out which ones are.

@Brad_Olwin I think you’re right. I also doubt many people are that bothered by it, it’s quite a niche thing. It’s just really useful for hitting specific paces on a track, for example, ave lap pace is super useful for this sort of thing.

I had the same issue on my Race S… HR stop working few second after starting the activity (while green sensor was still active) Strange thing, I noticed that before the run the 24 HR had detection failure on the 12h monitoring and the HR was taking more time to display in the watch menu. I had to soft reset my watch to get back to normal behaviour. 1st time I saw this issue, was ok before the update.
