I’m also still waiting for the interval counter a countdown before and after intervals to be available natively on the Suunto app. I tried programming workouts on intervals.icu for a while, but it’s not practical to have yet another platform to use. It’s a terrible experience with my training platform, Campus Coach. I see two possible explanations: either Garmin is paying Suunto not to implement these features, or the developers simply aren’t capable of doing it. Structured workout integration has been around for about three years, which should have been more than enough time to develop these basic and highly requested features. In the meantime, I’ve gone back to using a Garmin. My Suunto is up for sale, but of course, no one wants it.

@Tieutieu identical experiences - and opinions/assessments - of friends and myself about the unexplained and frustrating results of the ‘classification’ of runs (rides, walks etc work as usual). Extremely annoying, and creating quite strong reactions.

I finally received an official message from Suunto. A pop-up in the Suunto App stated that they’re aware of the Bluetooth connectivity issue with iPhone 17 and are working together with Apple to resolve the problem.

@fritzbt2013 said in Custom Sports Modes disappearing after each firmware update: @gizmo two updates ago I lost everything like you. Last update (the hotfix) I only lost one custom sport mode. The later has been my typical experience with updates since I got the watch. What I have learned is to add a custom sport mode that I do not use such a stretching and make sure it is the least used. When I get the update that will be the one I lost. I did that as well a couple of times. Now I always have, not a least used custom mode, but a least used standard mode (not customized). And never had any more any mode deleted. Coincidence? Marboutism? Nothing scientific for sure .

The bug with the HR graph is still present in the latest firmware. Interestingly enough, the first first time when I used the watch after the update, it worked correctly, but then the bug resumed. Furthermore, there is another bug that I’ve noticed. When a next turn notification pops up when I am right at the previous turn, if I dismiss that notification manually, it pops up again right away. Yesterday, I ended up dismissing the same turn notification 4 times in a row until I moved enough for it to stop popping up. That is a minor issue, but an issue nevertheless. Furthermore, there is one more annoying issue: [image: 1735508518288-pxl_20241228_232518248.jpg] If go on the same path more then once, then the light blue direction arrows end up being rendered behind the red breadcrumbs track, which makes it very difficult to see. In this particular case the path that I needed to take was obvious, but I experienced other cases when I come from one path on the way out and need to take another path on the way back. In the latter case it becomes difficult to distinguish between the dark blue route and the light blue direction array when they both are rendered behind the red breadcrumbs track. It would be better to change the Z-order so that the light blue arrows are always on top of everything. In other words the order should be the following: the dark blue route on the back, the red track is above the route, and the the light blue arrows are on top of everything. Finally there is one more issue, that is perhaps not a bug, but something that I initially thought was a bug. I was wearing a long sleeve jacket that covered the watch. On 3 different occasions when I looked at the map, it appeared off-center and not oriented correctly, which made me wonder what was going on. Finally I realized that perhaps the wet sleeve was touching the watch and made it pan the map. What would be the best way to avoid it. Should I change the touch mode so that it only wakes up the display and not the watch? In that case, how can I pan the map? Should I press some button first?

@shai-cristallo did you check if the band or the watch isn’t subject to forces applied by the back of your hand (or wrist movement at all), e.g. when doing push-ups or grabbing weights/ handlebars - anything where you lower arm muscle contract etc.? It looks like you wear it very close to your wrist ankle. I cannot wear it that close during training, because it would be too near and interfere with movement. [image: 1744792098377-img_5915.jpeg]

@Francesco-Pagano said in Actual slope gradient detection.: What about NGP? It’s displayed on the S+ Hill Reps app, why can’t I find it when customising a sport mode? It is native on the Suunto Run and I’ve tested it, works well. Would love to have this come to other watches as well.

@sartoric Sadly i can´t use the exact same watchface again because they removed it. I think you are right by saying that the new watchfaces are not yet optimized for the Race S. Hopefully that will change with the next patch.

@Brad_Olwin Dear Brad! Where can I find this screen in my Race S watch? I try to determine power zones for running but I don’t see app or screen which shows running power. I have found only FTP Test app for bicycle but also showed me nothing during bicycle ride. I run almost every day and application indicates TSS by § - and my power findings from chart are not correct. And today after 14km long run in 2 zone Sunto app clasified it as anaerobic what is not true. Maybe I am missing something but power zones are my problem now. Please let me know, how solve it.

Anecdotally, Garmin, Wahoo, and Karoo will all tell me, sometimes, to turn left when it’s clearly a right turn, or to take the wrong number of exits on a roundabout. I’ve noticed it when driving with Google and Apple Maps, too: I think we as a species have not learned how to correctly explain turn directions.

Suunto It only shows next waypoint, next waypoint. It does NOT show turn left, or turn right. what is the problem? Befor recent update all worked fine and now it’s useless distraction
