Will the snap to route feature work on a standard track?

@tyresej4 By standard track you mean without a preloaded route? That is not possible of I understand the feature correct.

It seems logical that the watch can only snap to loaded routes because it lacks map feature so it has no clue where to snap onto if you don’t load a route.

Des the 9 Peak have an off button to turn off the watch when not in use? I’ve convinced
myself that I read somewhere you can only turn off the hr etc. but not the watch itself. Thanks and apologies if the question is dumb (it’s my first Suunto watch).

@iowboy does not have a button but a settings toggle. Once selected then the watch powers off

Does it mean that it will not be sent 17th for those who ordered earlier?

@kajetan-august I would believe the first batch is good to go on the 17th, but people ordering now will have their Peaks shipped a week later.

@surfboomerang Just FYI, the snap to route feature does work on a standard track! You have to change the map style from Satellite to Outdoor. When changed to Outdoor the route editor allows you to create a route on the trail around the track. It’s actually kind of cool. Thought I’d put this out there for anyone else who may interested in that.

@tyresej4 sorry, can’t follow - I think my English is not good enough to understand the specifics of route, trail and track.

My understanding is, the snap to route feature is snapping the position to its closest point of the route (aka track) in the watch.
You just need to have a route pre-loaded into the watch.

What influence does the route editor in SA have on this watch feature?

@egika @Mff73 I would suggest to first install this update after receiving the Peak, before doing activities or use it much.

@egika Good morning! I’m referring to a racing track. I previously asked if the snap to route feature would work on a track and I was told that it would not. However, with the update to the S9B I discovered that it does work. On the Satellite view of a track you’ll see a track and (football or soccer) field. When you change the map setting to Outdoor, you’ll get something of a breadcrumb track around the field which is the racing track. Works perfectly as if you were creating any other route. I hope that helps.
