Hotfix 2.23.24
-
@isazi is there an ETA for this fix for the s9p? Mine crashed two to three times at every workout in the last week
-
@Andi-Buzer I have no knowledge about that, will share updates if I do.
-
@renandp11 If Suuntolink does not find the update automatically, you can try this link to manually download the file (then drag the zip onto the watch in SuuntoLink)

@isazi this patch didn’t solve the bug affecting the Suunto app loop:pace. I bet also other apps are involved, although I don’t use them. Just select the app and start the activity. The app will show once and then if you scroll/swipe the screens, it will freeze or disappear (black screen). Just try it out. This bug was reported months ago in the forum. Is disappointing you don’t hear.

@Beepi i have the same problem with the app loop speed. The workaround, while waiting for the fix from Suunto, is to remove all the apps from the watch , reset the watch and then add the apps back to the watch. The solution works for some time, and then all over again…
-
@nseslija a reset is needed? Just removing the S+ app from the watch and then add it again does not solve the issue?
I was not aware that the S+ loop app does not work, I use it with my S9P often. -
@isazi I think that I tried without reset and it didn’t work…
-
@isazi I have tried it all: soft reset, hard reset, downgrading, removing-adding apps, but it’s always the same… I have the 9baro though…
-
@Beepi It worked for me…
-
@nseslija having to reset saggests that not the app is foulty but the integration of the app with some sport modes… I use it for example in connection with the sport mode for cross country skiing…
-
@Beepi I use it in custom cycling sport mode. I don’t think it is sport mode related, don’t sure… I noticed that it has stopped working after the SA update once …maybe just coincidence…
-
@nseslija bug was introduced with the software version 2.20.30… I had no problems before…

Hi
This hotfix is just for suunto 9 and not for suunto 9 peak ? Same bugs are available in suunto 9 peak I think.
Thanks -
@lgranjon yes this is for S9 and S9 baro.
-
Interestingly, I just got a notification of the upgrade (4 weeks after it was released!). I never had the problem, so I wasn’t looking for this fix. But it is interesting why suddenly the SA decided to notify me.
-
Even more interesting is that after the hotfix was applied, the SuuntoLink forced me to reset the watch and I lost all the customisation I made so far (e.g. Sports Modes).
This is yet another reason why SA should enable some sort of backup of the watch. -
Edit: Nvm. Got it from a different thread!
Worst update ever! Screwed up my S9 so bad. Crashes during the activity and keeps resetting. Anyone have a link for the previous update to downgrade?
-
@Nic-Puia weird. Since I updated my s9b no crashes anymore.

Same here! No more crashes!

@Mitch9
I think I hard reset it and updated it 5 times, both 2.23.20 and 2.23.24 versions.
With 2.23.20, it acquires the GPS but still crashes. With 2.23.24 can’t acquire it at all and eventually crashes in couple minutes while trying to acquire it.
It all started after I updated it first time to 2.23.24 last night.
I’m stuck at this point, it crashes every time on either version.
I just need to wait for another fw update release I guess. Hope it happens soon.
