No-Map-Problem

@Egika I am pretty sure, there’s a problem on Suunto’s side. It can’t be coincidence, that the maps arround Stuttgart and Ulm are not working on different devices for different users. I tried installing the map of “Regierungsbezirk Tübingen” on an my iphone at home, twice, and also like @Racoon6 and @SirMcKey the “Regierungsbezirk Stuttgart” - which did not work.
I then hard reset the watch, went to the office, paired the watch with an Android device, set up my office WLAN, and again map of “Regierungsbezirk Tübingen” downloaded with “download complete message” and “green” tick. But after going outdoors, there is no map. I sent my logs to @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos

I’ve downloaded Freiburg where I’ll spend the weekend… it’s next to Tübingen and I will test and post here tonight once tested -
@ChrisA yes, it is a problem on Suunto’s side.
This is why I wrote the comment right above yours.
Please follow thiese steps to have it resolved.
I am in direct contact with the devs and am sure that it can be fixed within short time, once we receive the logs and ideally also the position of where the maps don’t show.

@Egika Ok thanks - no problem, new product - anyone should be aware, that there are some glitches. As long as I know that I am not the problem (being too dumb to set it up the right way, or there is a weird technical problem on my side) I can wait for an solution on Suunto’s side.

I live near three regions and the app suggested to download all three.
I do not have any issue so far. -
@lessthanmore yes I did (although the ap did not suggest it). I did a walk yesterday and the area I walked is exactly where the map should be:

and that’s the corresponding area on the map I had downloaded before (and for which the Vertical told me, that it had the download completed). So actually there should have been a map

Bloody hell, I did a walk, when I begin the map is still there, 10 minutes after it became empty. And I et off route message even I’m on the route.

While still waiting for my Vertical to arrive, I thought I would read through the Suunto Vertical user manual online. @StefanoMorgan Thanks for your hint, but I don‘t see what that would be good for, other than they would also tell me, that there‘s a problem. As long as I know theres nothing I can do, I‘ll wait until Suunto comes up with an solution

@ChrisA we found the issue with the region and should be fixed (awaiting confirmation from other internal and extrernal testers ) . If you want to go on and test
- delete the regions you down loaded with SA
- sync your watch.
- out the watch on the charger for 10 mins (maybe optional)
- reboot (maybe optional )
- redownload the maps
