@maszop I hope this clears up an issue. When you think something is a bug and you learn it works as intended we are simply saying that is how it is designed. Why the function was designed that way is something we cannot answer and there may be potential problems changing it or future plans that require the design despite your observation that it seems a bug… All we can do here is hopefully report and ask. We are not Suunto.

@shanghai-on-sea said in Lock screen while paused: @Brad_Olwin an accidental button press while recording an activity will cycle through screens, yes. But while paused, an accidental button press can end the activity entirely. Don’t think you’ve quite caught the gist of the issue here. Previous Suunto watches allowed you to lock the device while on the pause screen. The Race does not, which seems an oversight. I have caught the gist of the issue. To end an activity you would have to press the upper button accidentally then scroll accidentally to end and then accidentally push in the crown button. Highly unlikely to happen! If you accidentally press the upper button the default is resume so the worst that would happen is you pause. Then there is the automatic reminder once you are moving again so you would notice you have accidentally paused. Not once in many, many mountain/trail runs and SkiMo with poles where my wrists are flexing substantively have I accidentally pressed a button on the Race, other than the crown, which simply advances screens. So, I don’t think there is much chance you can accidentally end the activity.

@efbill That is like the one I just got from Amazon, and it’s good for the price. But it does not keep the watch anchor point from rubbing on my wristbone protrusion. So I’m hoping to try a wider strap that covers that bit of the watch.

Suunto neasures or make vo2max tag if you train much time in your Training in end from zone 4 and zone 5 (orange and red) there it is necessary that you set your heart rate zones correcly, means if you know your anaerob Treshhold you have set THIS Treshhold to end from zone 4! Means if you know for example that your anaerobic Treshhold is 168 beats per minutes than you have to set the 168 as end from zone 4. Zone 5 starts then at 169 until your maximal heart rate. Second you have define your areobic Treshhold, its the point where your body begin to produce lactat. This you have set correct as ending from zone 2 (Green Zone) . The other heart rate zones you can set how you think its good for you. Zone 1 ends normal at 60% from your maximal heart rate!

@Stefano-M64 said in Just bought Race - struggling very dark or Off screen: A couple of days ago, I bought a S9PP for my wife, choosing that model for her small wrist, well the comparison between the two displays is, ehm … embarrassing OK, after just few days of thinking, my wife and me decided to send the S9PP back to Amazon, there is really no reason to keep that model, paid 399€, when the Race cost only 440€. The Race’s price puts a new reference, so that now the S9PP should cost no more than 300€ to be reasonable. Rumors about Race S made the decision easier

@Umer-Javed just to clarify, during LVO (Low Visibility Operations) approach and landing we don’t use GPS alt, rather radio altimeter for the DH/DA For a standard ILS minimas are based on barometric reference instead, ciao

@Brad_Olwin said in What about the new OHR sensor?: @Luis-Andés-Olmedo yes, I still have the SV. For me the SV is not as good, my wrists are not large and it is the weight and bulk of the SV that is a problem for me. OK, thank you!

@6294946 said in Can you import data from other platforms to Suunto app?: @duffman19 Oh so this explains a lot. I’ve been very puzzled by the different tss numbers from apple watch vs suunto vertical… Use Healthfit for the Apple Watch and set your zones in Healthfit to be the same as SA. Alternatively the AW will sync to Sporttracks and your activities will automatically be in SA. Sporttracks will not sync Power data from AW but Healthfit will.

Cry Yes it seems so… Hey but look at the Problem on the Vertical AND Race with incorrect Synchronisation from the TSB, CTL, ATL values since the RACE Release in October. When i count correctly then i hope a update to change the values will come in 2028 be realistic, look deeper in this Forum and you will got a answer for you Problems, Like “this question is there since many years without changing”. And If you read between the textlines you will know what exactly the major Problem is.

I think the current solution is ok. Sometimes you have multiple maps being downloaded, and the app allows you to see which one(s) have been completed, which ones have to be started, and the progress on the current map. Showing all this on a tiny screen would be hard.

There have been loads of good suggestions for improving structured workouts in this forum including: giving the next stage info and a 5 second countdown rather than changing step without warning giving feedback when you are outside of a step target such as hr or pace (like you get with normal targets) the option to see the details of a workout before selecting it the option to see the next step before it activates This suggestion is another really good one and I hope the developers are seeing this feedback. All credit to them though, Suunto’s implementation for structured workouts is actually very good internally. Having read the info on what you can do with structured workouts they are really flexible. You can control the data fields shown per-step (including the ordering), you can conditionally skip steps or repeat steps and you can trigger the progress to the next step based on a number of criteria. It would be great if more of this was exposed in the workout builder and used by third-parties - and the option to start with a third-party workout and then modify it would be very cool. One thing that might help specifically with knowing which interval you are on could be to add the lap count field to one of the other data screens. I know it will count the recovery steps as well but at least it will give you some indication.
