@Carl-Magnus-Cedercreutz-0 said in Watch faces?: @far-blue I earlier had a Suunto 5 and upgraded to a Suunto Race. On My Suunto 5 I had updated a Sport to include Laps information: Lap time, lap distance, Stryd Power 3 sec and Stryp Power Average. In addition I’d like to be able to see things like “Estimated time to end of Navigation Route” and “Sunset” information on a “kayaking” or “Hiking” sport. I’ve not found any way of customizing Watch Faces or even to see an explanation of what information is available on which watch face (without guess work based on the look at Watchfaces in Suunto App Store. What guidance would the community have to me? be careful. this thread is about watch faces the watch is showing when not recording an activity. You are talking about screens during activity. You can specify all the data you want (which is data to be shown within an activity) in the sport mode customization. Just tap the watch icon in the top left of the home screen in Suunto App, and then choose “Sport Mode Customization”

@MRC01 said in Watch Faces: Not Compatible with Watch ?!: @isazi The app on my phone did not change. It recognized the replacement watch, downloaded 16 GB of maps, updated watch firmware, and a couple of exercises I did, and lets me install several of the watch faces. In short, the app is already working 100%. If all of this already works in the app, how could reinstalling it fix anything? It will start syncing from scratch. Just try it. Isazi knows what he is talking about. (anyway . I just see that it is now working for you)

@David-l My predictions came out today,in the end of my 10 run, interval workout. In general I think the 5k and 10 Kms are in line with my stryd predictions and Garmin,in half marathon and full marathon is a bit off, slower. If their algorithm work like Garmin it will take some weeks until get predictions close to reality, because of the lack of data in terms of endurance. But in shorter distance they are spot on Kudos to Suunto. Normally I don’t rely to much in any predictions, because I know what I’m capable to do but is nice to see when the predictions of the watch match my actual fitness .

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I did that,I went to walk with my dog for about 15 minutes with gps on. It’s much better than previous tracks, just don’t know if it was for the long gps fix or for the software update. Tomorrow I will update you about that for now only positive things about the update

I would like to add some observations/ possible bugs that I’ve noticed in Multisport. I usually do indoor rowing -> jump rope -> indoor cycling. After ending the rowing and cycling workout I can edit/add the distance on the watch directly or in the app. With Multisport this is unfortunately not possible. For the case above: a distance for the rowing was estimated by the watch and is not editable no distance was determined for the indoor cycling and it can also not be edited (like when not using Multisport) For the Multisport summary the estimated distance of the rowing exercise is used and editable. Takeaway: It would be nice if the individual exercise listed in a Multisport workout could be edited When switching from e.g. indoor cycling to another exercise, it would be nice to be promoted to add the distance, like you would when not using Multisport.

@Mads-Hintz-Madsen the “Swipe to the right” is the same no-function on both Race and Vertical.

@Olaf-Gottschalk I strongly agree - while on the trail it’s simply impossible to charge through a solar panel or power bank without the charger and watch getting separated. Think it’s super strange there is no lock to keep it in place.

@ab100 Suunto is aware of this current limitation, and if resources allow it this may change in the future. It is always a balance.

@treizeXiii said in Komoot : one way syncing: @Mff73 I selected “share with” on the gpx file created with komoot, and chose Suunto App (ios) to “share” it, and it imported it in Suunto app. But once loaded on the watch, I had no turn by turn notification. (I did’t use any thrid party to import/create, other than Komoot and Suunto app). i may think that Komoot is also not exporting (via gpx file export) their turn-by-turn information. I downloaded one file from my small unlocked region and the gpx file doesn’t contain any wpt entries. Probably, as @isazi wrote, it is a business decision on their side to share with partners turnbyturn through 2 ways sync, but not to export tbt outside the app/web for any other usage. Just my guess

@David-l You can turn just the buttons off, I don’t like the buttons reacting anyway so I have both tones and vibration for buttons off.

@Anthony-Guillemette still, more ways to find the right maps are necessary, and I hope they will come to the app.

Does anybody know if there is a ‘past’ route sync limit with the Suunto app? I have full mapping on Komoot with many routes already planned but after linking to the Suunto app it only appears to sync one route from last year. Any new created routes appear to make it over into the Suunto app but not a lot from before the link. Known bug?

@mikekoski490 OH, and I just noticed. The .gpx map that I downloaded from Strava? The one that correctly provided 0m elevation gain or loss when I created the route in Strava? Here is how it converted to when I review the route in my Suunto Race: [image: 1721330813541-35762538-edca-48c1-af00-dbe192e310af-image.png] [image: 1721330849293-31dc1579-1249-455d-be87-13192698553e-image.png]

@Mff73 This is what I do as well. Issue is pretty easy to reproduce, and I have been dealing with it for a couple of years now. Fortunately, updates are not too often… I would expect the fix is easy (as a software developer we know reproducibility is the key). Anyways it’s more of a matter of the development team becoming aware of the issue and having the time to investigate.
