@marbjo I think it fair to assume all features of new firmware that don’t rely on specific hardware will come to the Ocean.

@BrunoH Thank you for your reply. I didn’t think about it but you’re right in thinking it would be a hopeless. Anyway I can’t understand the correct use of the PDI (Point Of Interest in italian) where you can choose things as Reef, or Wreck, or anything connected to diving PDI. It seems I just can use them while I’m on the boat.

@Brad_Olwin Thanks for the suggestion. I tried settings/tones/all off. That should hopefully do the trick.

@Samyon-Shahnovitch I still remember the good old days when the early firmware of Suunto 9 (and Spartans before that) had adjustable brightness in 5% increments. Then Suunto decided to change it to low/medium/high, making my S9 and now Vertical annoyingly bright during night use. And I can fully imagine that it might be even worse with an AMOLED screen. I wish they would revert this for all their watches.
  • Please Suunto.

@Mff73 The Suunto Ocean dive computer uses different sampling rates for scuba and freediving modes to match the demands of each activity. In scuba mode, the device logs dive data at 10-second intervals, balancing data detail with battery efficiency for longer dives. In contrast, freediving mode records data every 1 second to accurately capture rapid depth changes and short dive durations. These rates apply to key metrics such as depth, time, temperature, and heart rate, and are stored in the logbook for later review. Currently, these sampling rates are fixed and not user-adjustable. Some other dive computers have adjustable and higher sampling rates.

@ozan_tr Hello, fellow freediver here! Sorry to report there is no surface time alarm. It’s a weird omission, at least to me, because previous Suunto dive computers (I’ve used the Zoop Novo) have a basic fixed surface time alarm (not a variable one like those found on certain Cressi and Atmos dive computers). You’ll just have to keep an eye on the watch; either the number on the watch face or that big orange arch.

I’d love to see a widget for any of the current watches. Race, Race S, Vertical…on my Garmin and AW, this was at the very top of my widgets.

@Johnkokk it is not easy for moderators that want to forward issues to Suunto, better to discuss each bug in its own thread.

@chdumalin good question. Considering the pod is a one-way device it should be possible. However, is the ocean pod compatible with eon?

@waitiam There is no music in the watch themselves. Media control could control your phone’s music player, if phone is connected with app.
