It may make sense to add a Bluetooth compartible desktop software for log and activity transfers from the watch directly to computers, skipping the app and FIT files because the FIT files are slim and poor on some of the data (eg. tank pressure if a tank pod is connected). Maybe something similar to the DM5 protocol that you get out of older models via SuuntoLink.

@Datego I actually experienced the opposite. My Suunto Ocean has overrepresenting the steps. I have a Galaxy Watch 4 with me and when I wear them both on the same arm the difference between the two is massive. Suunto is counting thousands more steps and by the distance walked it is definitely incorrect

@isazi thanks I will advise support, it happens randomly (I am always paired to 2 sensors), but they would be able to see the recorded activity with all but the minimal data missing.

Thanks @Frank-Scholer, that does make sense. I’d say that’s a pretty significant error in the manual, this is the measure of air remaining after all! Agree with you re. the current arches not being helpful in general. Since I have to choose between compass heading and tank pressure display, I’m just trying to make use of the arch as a workaround to that limitation. The more I think about it, placing this cognitive load on the user during a dive seems quite problematic and a questionable design decision from a safety perspective. A graphical compass (with the heading numerical value also always displayed) would be a much better use of this space, with the tank pressure value only shown numerically (at the same time as heading!).

@VoiGAS thank you. In general, I set the brightness to medium… within the sport modes I don’t know how to do that. Raise to wake is enabled.

@roakes have you synced the watch to the app regularly and do you wait for it to find GPS before you start the activity?

@jeanlee I don’t see Ocean as a D5, Ocean has much more features, it is not based only on diving so given that i would also expect for updates to go more frequently. Personally waiting for those watchface complications to be in the update, stuff that Vertical and Race have for months now

@diogao13 I use mine 6 days a week for activities that last between 56 and 90 minutes. The battery used to last 9 to 10 days but now struggles to last 7. I used to have notification on but turned them off a month ago. Everything else has stayed the same. Perhaps the battery is rapidly degrading?

@Redhat6 you mean in the watch? If recording route is on? Yes. I did dive again today and to day i got the route. I reas that i am not the first one that some of the dive route are showing and some not. By the way, the dive route looks not accurate at all, i turn left and its looks like right for example. And in the main screen in the app i still get that start location in the place i got out of the water and the end location 5 min after on the beach.

@marbjo I think it fair to assume all features of new firmware that don’t rely on specific hardware will come to the Ocean.
