@Stefano-M64 I would get that too (used Suunto’s in the past with Ambit) but the biggest ‘feature’ I am missing is connect to 2 devices simultanuosly (Bike computer and Watch for example or even 2 watches).

This is a good point you bring up and I would like to follow to see if someone has a good suggestion. I find myself sometimes struggling to activate the raise to wake to brighten the display and would prefer to be able to quickly glance at the watch without an exaggerated raise to wake gesture

@Audaxjoe , Thanks. De speed sensor led green and is speed and works. De Cadance leds green and doesn"t connect . Also wenn i change the batterie and the red leds goes green the same effect , no connection with the cadence. So i gone a buy an other cadence sensor , hopes the garmin with blue tooth works.

Hi Recently got a race, with a former 9 baro. I was using sleep tracking without HR 24/7, I don’t like the green light all day. Now with race is not possible I have read. Could it be possible auto enable HR for sleep tracking only between sleeping hours? It would be an interesting solution for this issue. Regards

@duffman19 okkkeeyyyy ! I don’t have the imagery step how explain that. Seeing the updates quickly available in SA, I didn’t think there was an extra step to see the path on SA. This explains a lot of things I don’t see while running even though I know I see these paths on SA. I understand that generating images often is quite demanding.

I also met abnormal long recovery times (>40h) the first year I went on my usual skiing holidays on the Alps with my new Race. Day after day the Fatigue (TSS/d) skyrocket and at the end of the week I was supposed to be nearly dead …

@Stavrogin they are not exactly equal because HR zones can only be set on the watch, making your imported activities happen in completely different zones. For Garmin RunGap has a “fake Garmin device” option that works really well

@Maarten can you share the position details with me (maybe in private message)? Then I can follow up on this with Suunto. Thx

Factory reset done. It doesn’t seem the problem has been resolved. Continue with high consumption.

@Highlands I totally agree. Who are we to convince you to buy something so personal. If you are serious about your training, this is your training partner/coach.

@Tami999 Yes I did. That didn’t fix it. Suunto replaced the watch under warranty. The new one has been fine so far… but only time will tell.

@RobinJ said in Suunto Race open water swimming GPS problem: Hi @Mechanicus, i experience the same openwater problems. I bought the Race late oktober 2024 and i was very happy with the Race as it was almost spot-on with the other watches in my group (mostly Garmin). A lot better than de S7 which i had before which always added an extra 10% on every swim. During wintertime we stayed in the pool (which is okay with the Race as long as you don’t stop during a lane) But…when we started outdoor swimming in the beginning of april 2025 all my results are terrible. On a 2K5 swim the watch added at least 500 meters. Last week my Race is exchanged for a new one because the screen was burnt-in after only 6 months in use (very disapointing, even de S7 was beter in that way) This morning (with the new watch) a 3K1 swim (all Garmins say) but Race made a “fantastic” 4K8 (!) out of it. ps this was in “endurance” mode, but all other swims in 2025 were in best possible mode You would allmost think has anyting to do with the latest fw update Hi, Can you share GPS tracks from your last swim? There shouldn’t be such differences! I have Suunto Vertival and recently I swam with friends: First swim OWS 1.3 km - SV1 watch + SV2 watch, difference in measurement about 30 meters. Second swim OWS 3.1 km - SV1 watch + SV2 watch + Garmin 955 F watch, difference in measurement about 40 meters. Software: 2.40.44 [image: 1749550012378-ows-suunto-vertical-1-3-km.jpg] [image: 1749550029384-ows-suunto-vertical-3-km.jpg]

@maszop For me it happened after half an hour of hike, in Serbia. Never had that problem before and I usually hike in that region often, and I was on the same track few times before without any issue. I’ve had hikes of 10 hours long and never had a crash so I don’t think that region or duration of recording is thr problem. I wouldn’t even mention this one craeh here if I didn’t saw that other people had same problem recently. P. S. I had 4 more activities recorded after the crash without any problems

@AP852 said in Too used to the old ways?: All good points. and @Tieutieu that fear of change is totally me! One thing that I do know won’t change in regards to the screen is the ability to have it always on like on my 9 Peak. With the AMOLED screen, it just wouldn’t work, but with the other display, it’s no problem because it isn’t such a battery hog. Maybe I’m being too picky, but it just makes me second guess myself. After going from a Fenix 6x to an Epix pro, the lack of always on does take some getting used to, as does the slight lag get the screen on with wrist movement. Just bought a Race as the epix screen is too small for my poor eyesight, and my issues are no Parkrun barcode, and no connection to vitality to get pints.

Thanks everyone. I changed the resting heart rate from 60 which was the default on my watch to 70. Hopefully it will fix this problem
