@Tony-Monteiro Oh yes, sometimes it happens. It’s a bit of a nuisance but hey, it has an easy solution. You have to load tracks to the watch until you reach the allowable limit of the watch. In my 9PP I don’t remember well but I think there are 15 (or 10, I don’t remember well, the fact is that there aren’t many). Those who have remained “ghosts” on the watch are displaced by these new ones and disappear. Then it’s time to disable again those that you have loaded to carry out this process. I hope I have explained myself well.

@Dawid-Wnukowski said in Issues with power meter: Hello, I’m quite happy owner of Suunto Race (for almost 2 weeks). Unfortunately, I have a major issue connecting with a power meter. Pairing works smoothly but when I want to start the activity watch can’t connect to it and for that, it won’t receive data. Calibration in this case is also impossible of course… Do you have your power meter connected to a cycling computer (or phone) as well? If you do and the connection is using Bluetooth then the problem may be that your power meter only supports 1 Bluetooth connection. If your power meter and cycling computer also supports Ant+ then the solution is to use Ant+ for the power meter/cycling computer connection. The Race watch can then connect to your power meter using Bluetooth. If this is not your problem then I don’t have any idea what the issue may be.

@ab100 not possible afaik. However, during an activity you can workaround this by using the Suunto+ app “Emergency info” and add your own contact info.

@Jonathan-Schwarz it seems it’s not consistent because yesterdays trail run uploaded to Strava fine, but the one from 2 days ago and todays trail runs did not upload properly

@zucchero think of these as customizations of a sport. You can do that yourself from the app, taking one default sport mode, e.g. running, and customize the screen to show the information you prefer. Once you do that, you can give it a name. As an example, I have a “Running (Training)” and a “Running (Race)” that show different fields. For some sports, Suunto already offers some customization. So you have “Cycling (Basic)” and “Cycling (Power)” that show different data screens, in case you do not want to make your own custom sports. Cycling basic can record power if you have a power meter, but does not have a field showing it to you during the activity, while Cycling power has it. Now, there are also some other changes that are not available to users like us, one example is “Climbing (Indoor)” that does not use GPS; while we can only customize screens in our custom sport modes, Suunto can do more, and that is why they provide some customized sport modes. Also, because some users do not know how to make custom profiles themselves

@MRC01 The route elevation screen has been working properly for the past couple of rides, so this issued resolved itself. I don’t know what caused it to fail that first time.

@Jess60451 Has anyone come back to you on this issue? I am having the same problems and also not even 6 months old and having to send it in for them to test. They can’t tell me how long that will even take.

@sapphireforever I have 3 (yes 3 ) watches and I wholeheartly suggest you get the Race and you’ll not regret it. First of all I too had ‘mixed’ feeling about the HR (spikes during Rest, too low on bike and too high on runs). After the 2 or 3 updates of the Race and Vertical (this was my HR impressions based on) the only minor issue with the HR is the initial lock to cadence when running. Of coure I never, never really run without HR belt so I couln’t care less about the ohr. So if you use belt during runs there is no reason for you to hold off. I would not state it as better HR sensor since as I can see the sensor is same, it only has 2 extra LEDs. One other observation I had and I believe this is the reason the smaller watch got more LEDs is that when the watch is bigger the band holders dont dig in your wrist and elevate the HR sensor. This is the reason I think for my wrist the Suunto Ocean has the most accurate HR since it goes so smooth over my wrist (this little mm count compared to the Vertical/Race) and the sensor sits very nicely on the skin. Concerning the responsivness of the UI this has been addressed with the latest FW accross all watches Race/Vertical/Ocean. In the end I believe they all have the same cpu/mem components. There is no chance the Race S has better cpu than the Race or Veritcal. Cheers.

Related to this (I hope): could SA add the altitude profile to GPX files that come without the altitude data? Examples are the German „D-Route“ cycle routes available from https://radroutenplaner-deutschland.de/veraDNetz_EN.asp – the Danube Route D6 does not have altitude data, for example.

I got my Race in December. I didn’t have any CTL stats until like March or April and I run almost every day.

@cumbrian-runner Remove watch from BT on phone (forget) Turn off completely BT on phone (I even had to restart my iPhone once) Remove phone from watch settings > connectivity > paired devices Try to re-pair. If not successful do the same again by restarting both phone and watch. Last resort: factory defaults on watch.

@TitaniumDave I guess this would be a rotating rose compass with a fixed needle.
