It seems common sense not to update while charging unless specified.
This is really, really, really, really not common sense, I love tech so I deal with electronics all the times, and I specifically do the opposite, its been carved in my brain “do not update things if they are not hooked to a cable”.
I agree here, and in the manual of Suunto Race there is no indication about that, so it shouldn’t make difference, otherwise it must be clearly stated, since the updating is always a “risky” process. However, the watches are able to auto-recover after an error and that’s a very, very good feature.

I don’t know why but I had an exercice done it in the watch and before the update, this exercice has not been sync with the app because it gives me error of sync, Then I’ve realised that de watchs shows me that there were and update. After the update that exercice Not Sync with the app.
if the activity was not synced with the app before the update, then it is lost : the FW update is cleaning the watch logbook and is letting in the watch only data summaries and no more any real data to be synced.
before any FW update, you must be sure that everything is synced. -
One thing I recognised this morning: After the update/hotfix the HRV switch in section “sleeping” on the S9PP was deactivated and there were no HRV readings last night. OHR worked and also all other sleep data were captured.

Add description to activity not possible after installing 2.33.14, anyone else having this issue? I´m on Vertical.

Some strange issues have happened to me. Currently I am on a Race with FW 2.33.14 and iOS TestFlight version2.34.0 and I can not edit any activities with respect to titles and TSS.
Have read through the thread and seen the various comments about should the watch be plugged in or making sure everything is in sync before updating. My situation I was never given the chance.
My watch decided to update itself in the middle of the night! I know this as the update process puts the backlight on when it goes through the process, which woke me up.
Is there a known issue with sync as I can not tell if this is watch, app or platform related?

@FunkyLarma just look the previous message from @sartoric pointing a thread about it.
I personnaly had the issue since yesterday morning before update (so did my wife with her S9pp, before update also), so I bet it’s more “SA server” related (using sports-tracker works for adding descriptions).
I’m using beta app, but I can’t edit either on public app on my ipad. -
@GiPFELKiND I never do an update with watch on the charger, and yet I always have only last 3 used custom sports remaining. Others are removed, which is a pity for some like hiking which I use seldomly but have plenty of fields defined.

Where can I find the beta version? I have a massive sync problem with my SR and would like to try the beta app…maybe it would help. -
@satom on iOS you need to install TestFlight. Use search function should be able to find threads about it.
(But don’t forget that « beta app » means « beta ») -
Again showing that problems are not consistent across the user base, I have updated my SV to 2.33.14, my SA is on the current, stable (non-beta) Android release (4.87.0) and I can both edit my activities (last one added 1 hour ago) and see all my previous activities (going back years).
I am sure this must be frustrating for people with issues, and probably frustrating for Suunto too!

@Mff73 as I said I tried but it was impossible the watch was unstable, so That i decided to update. But the exercises it remains in the watch, anyway is only 1 exercise lost . Now the problem is the app that all the exercices are without order

This update didn’t fix the issue where the “training time” is showing 0h in the watchface (while unlocked, it’s corrected to the actual hours when it is locked)

Hi since the update the sunnto app is no longer saving edits to a workout - doesn’t seem to be saving or syncing .

400 messages including lots of annoying bugs in the previous update thread… I wonder how did Suunto choose what to fix and why they stopped on these two bugs only
