@Sergio-Nasi as written above this is currently being worked on by Suunto.

What helped me with other firmwares when OHR was jammed: start a manual SpO2 measurement. Maybe you want to try instead of resetting the whole watch?

          Hi together,
I think with the latest update to 3.39.20 the bug is back.
Yesterday, soft reset helped to reactivate Heart Rate sensor, after today’s “4-hours sleep” (it stopped working again in the middle of the night) I have to do another one…
Somebody seeing the same device behavior?
          Kind regards:)

Same problem for my Suunto after the last update, some days ago. Reset and manufacturing settings do not solve the problem. The update is 2.39.20

@Egika It doesn’t work. Despite starting the measurement manualy the leds doesn’t start flickering. Thanks anyway.

Same for me. Switching of my peak pro and starting it again reactivates the lights for measurements again but after around 4-6 hours it’s stops again. Manual measurement not switching on lights anymore.

                      Hello,
Happens to me as well since update to 2.39 and only soft reset helps. Please let me know if there is any solution for this problem.

                        Hi all,
Since Last Week’s Software Update, all of us are suffering Heart Rate issue on our Suunto 9 Peak Pro. This New Software Version has an error on Heart Rate Function and this is very annoying for any athlete or sport lover.
Today I spoke with Suunto’s Chat asistance and they confirm me how to solve it.
Meanwhile they are working on it, we all have to change the Software to the previous version 2.37.48
I did it today and by the moment Heart Rate issue is solved changing to the previous version

                          Hi,
Same here since the last firmware update (2.39.20).
Also experienced this issue with a former version of the firmware (early 2024, as stated when this topic was opened). It was solved with an update mid-2024, but now it went back again a couple of weeks ago.
I hope Suunto is working on this indeed…Very annoying, I have to do a soft reset before every activity (because even during the day, HR sensor stops abruptly, not only during sleep…)

Same issue here since more or less 1 week. I guess it’s due to last update and restoring last version will do the job.
                              Thanks @arkaitzgalvan for your help.

Anyone knows how can I avoid now the automatic software download to the watch when I syncro with the app?
                                Thanks

@magbueno hi, in the app, in the watch menu, click on the settings icon, then there is an icon to turn on/off automatic update, at first, it worked for me.

Can someone inform us when the HR issue detection on the last update (2.39.20) is solved, so that we can go back to this newest version?
                                          Tks!

I’m experiencing similar behavior. I just got my SPP9 last Friday, 12/20. Did the update to 2.39.20 during set up and have had trouble with the HR and O2 sensor ever since. I do a soft reset twice a day and that seems to reset the sensors but that lasts only a few hours. I also soft reset right before I sleep and get about 1-1/2 hours of tracking before the sensors quit. Has there been any timeline from Suunto on a fix for this issue? Seriously considering returning it.
