Screen burn is a known issue on the S7 unfortunately, Suunto will replace the screen for you if the watch is within warranty (2 years for me, I’m unsure if that is the same worldwide). I have only this week had my watch back from repair, a refurbished screen was fitted and the watch is as good as new… for now…

Really like the Tab S8+, although can’t justify it’s price at the moment. If it ran ChromeOS then the price would be almost palatable. Almost. Android could run well on tablets (Apple make it work with iOS) but Google doesn’t seem interested. Even this recent renewed interest probably won’t be enough to save the market. However, some good quality hybrid devices running ChromeOS and able to run Android apps, now you’re talking!!

@p3079 when you reset you do not lose the updates you have done, you just lose any data etc on the watch - so make sure that you sync prior to doing this step. Once you have done it, you will have pair the watch to your new phone, which will initiate the whole set up process again. If you have correctly set yourself up most if not all your details should be backed up and should come through when your set up. All you should need to do is install any apps that you previously installed and want to keep on the watch.

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos I have the same problem with S7 but I think is the suunto app the question. if I use strava (standalone not connected to the phone) for my bike rides there’s no problem. the suunto app registers double elevation. so I presume that strava don’t use barometer but only gps. I like so much suunto app in the watch but I don’t use it anymore.

@Piotrd - tends to reduce battery life, as when no bluetooth connection it automatically turns on wifi (you can switch this off); however now that your connection issue is resolved it shouldn’t be a major issue going forward. PS - would recommend switching play store on watch to manual update - you will get a notification when their is an app to update, and this way it stops the watch choosing an inoportune mate to update (when it might try and use wifi when there isn’t and or end up using bluetooth for download - which can take up quite a bit of juice).

It’s a great smartwatch but it’s amazing that it doesn’t have it, when even more basic models do It’s because of the Covid thing. So you don’t stop and keep moving!
