BUG: Run prediction and lactate threshold missing
-
Same new update installed and been on 3 runs since, longest being over an hour. Still no lactate zones.
-
@Sebastian-Wagner-0 as far as I know it should work, but I’m not the best person to ask. Not an official response but I would keep an eye on it for the next few days to be sure
-
@Sebastian-Wagner-0 same here. Did my 3 runs since the update and I run 5-6 times per week…
-
@fleblanc01 updated to new firmware, ran once and all my estimates and lactate threshold appeared… and I must say the estimates are really spot on! Kudos to suunto to finally fix it
-
still no estimate or lactic threshold despite the update and several activities. Another silly question: is it compulsory to enter the feeling? something that wasn’t activated until now.
-
if you don’t get estimates a couple tips I have you can try:
- Be sure your runs have at least 10 min of running in HR Zone 2 or above and good GNSS(GPS) track (normally it is, but just in case).
- We have a nice “HR Zones Duration” S+ app to measure time in HR zones
- Do 3 runs meeting criteria above
- If you did mentioned above and it didn’t work and you use heartrate belt - try with wrist heart rate
If you still don’t get estimates - send logs and let us know. Many issues with estimates were fixed but it could be more which affects some people
- Be sure your runs have at least 10 min of running in HR Zone 2 or above and good GNSS(GPS) track (normally it is, but just in case).

Thx for the Infos.
Did the 3 Runs with more then 10min Zone 2 , still no values.
Do the 10min or more Zone 2 have to be 10 min continious Zone 2 in a run or total in the run? And do i have to run the 3 Runs on consecutive days?And why should it make a differente between optical hr from Watch and hr belt for getting values? And then the Values Maybe wrong because of Bad readings from the optical hr in cold weather.
And i am a Little Bit confused, because the Suunto Support Told ne in january that i have to run Zone 3 for 10min plus in 3 Runs.
Which Logs should i send ?

@Sebastian-Wagner-0 https://www.suunto.com/Support/faq-articles/suunto-app/how-to-send-diagnostic-logs-on-suunto-app-for-ios/ (on Android open Profile -> Settins -> Scroll to bottom)
-
Watch is connected, but i can Not find the Option to send Logs.
-
@Sebastian-Wagner-0
settings -> about app
the logs function has been moved to keep us agile and dynamic -
@freeheeler
ThxI Hope Suunto can See something in my data, why i can Not get Running estimate and Lactate threshold values.
-
Sent logs as well for troubleshooting.

For me no run prediction and lactate threshold available even after the last update.
I tried several things (run with/without Stryd, use own and basic running profile, run between 45min and 3 hours in different zones, do all runs with hr chest strap H10, make a fully reset of watch).
On my Suunto race it did not work since the buying.

Unfortunately the same thing happens to me. I also tried everything I read on the forum but nothing helped.

It seems it’s only working with Watch Heartrate Sensor, I’ll try before the end of this month, but I got a marathon next sunday, so I’ll keep my Verity Sense until I cross this finish line.
-
@yohan I hope it is not designed that way. The WHR is not accurate enought to give realiable figures.
-

From what I have read in the Spanish Forum, the SR needs to be this way because the algorithm used is from a external company and once you have the first values then you can use the externar HR monitor to keep them. Its said that with next update you will be able to get the values with an external monitor.
SV uses Suunto’s algorithm and gives the values with external monitors.

S+ app is not required

@cosme-costa Thanks for this info! Wow, that’s bad. There are quite a few people who have problems with accurate WHR. For me it’s unusable during exercise (I am simply not compatible with this technology), so that this algorithm would be a random number generator. I hope Suunto can fix this soon.
There should really be an information about this on the website: “You only get LTHR and race prediction times if WHR is used”. In my country there is something called consumer rights. As far as I know, if a product doesn’t work as advertised, consumers can request their money back (Suunto had already months to fix this), even after months of use. So maybe it would be a good idea to add this info for legal reasons?
