@ROBMONTGOMERY how do you know? Do you already have the watch? If yes, you can update your firmware and this will be changed.

@6iovanni Yes, I understood. That’s why I was telling you that at the moment, it seems to me, that the only way is the one I told you.

hello there, I wore the watch for more than two weeks and waited a while before reporting. The first 3/4 days sleep was recorded almost perfectly, but then it started counting only 2/4 hours per night. I restarted it and for the next 2-3 days everything was again fine. Yesterday I restarted it again for the same reason and the last night was recorded correctly.

anyway nothing to do: at a certain point I thought I had solved it by deselecting this option [image: 1750360520818-1000060906.png] but in vain because after a while the “allow background use” option automatically switches from “without limitations” to “optimized”. I tried to disable any battery optimization (adaptive battery, optimized charging, etc.) but the result does not change… Now at least to avoid having the notification permanently present in the drop-down menu, I disabled the “watch connection” item in the “notifications” settings of the Suunto app. That said, I am really disappointed, both for this thing and for others, one above all the lack - incomprehensible - of the test for the anaerobic threshold. I am not saying that I bought the Run only for this (mistakenly thinking that it was present), but at this point, between the inadequacy of the app and the shortcomings of the watch, I do not find any differences compared to a smartwatch like the Huawei Fit 3 which, at least, has a very well-made app and an operating system clean and responsive.

@Syed-Alam My Suunto app (linked to my Suunto Run) reports that I was asleep yesterday, when I was actually out walking my dogs. It wasn’t a brisk walk, but I was certainly awake!

@6iovanni A watch primarily for running and I doubt this will happen. I imagine the included profiles were a deliberated decision.

@thanasis no full idea of Suunto’s plans, but Run is definitely this: A stripped down version of their adventure watches. Smaller price - less features. At the same time some nice gimmicks made it into this new development.

@Egika That’s why I surmised in my initial post that DCR must’ve had a foundation with it via his experience with Garmin. Unfortunately, Suunto didn’t detail how this feature works, and I couldn’t find a calibration explaination in the user manual (perhaps I missed it?). I haven’t used a Garmin regualrly in about four years, and even when I was with that brand, I never ran on a track. So as I test it further, I want to be sure to explain any functionalities that don’t seem intuitive to the end users.

@ergrandjean Hello, i had 20 euro earbuds paired with my phone (in a backpocket) while cycling: hickups all the time. I now have sennheiser sport true wireless: great stuff. I paid 80 euro, they are worth that, but not more. https://www.amazon.fr/Écouteurs-Sennheiser-Sport-Wireless-Intra-Auriculaires/dp/B09WDK7GGJ

@Egika Says the person using an Avatar picture with a bike But seriously, you won’t find any running instructor talking about Cadence in the RPM sense. Even Suunto with this Run watch has implemented a metronome with a Cadence advice of: https://www.suunto.com/sports/News-Articles-container-page/run-with-the-new-suunto-run-gps-watch/ “Metronome Cadence – the number of steps you take per minute – is a great indicator of efficient running form. Use Suunto Run’s metronome to maintain your target step frequency. A cadence of around 180 steps per minute is commonly recommended.” I myself would say ‘try to keep it above 170 to minimise heavy pounding steps’.

@Anthony-Garratt please give the Option like in the race watch. At the Run you cannot choose only to show the white colored time at black Display and it doesnt goes off when wrist goes down. And we dont have display lock function in time Mode. If i activate always on then the time is Always Show . Never goes off. Why so complicated???

@GiPFELKiND it’s sampled every 10 min or so, definitely a trade-off for consumption. However, I wish there was an option to keep it on all the time…

@kermischocolate said in Watch Face customisation: There seems to be a bigger selection via Suunto Plus but I can’t find any link to this on the app so I suspect it’s not available for the Run S+ not supported
