      @jacassata - thanks your instructions really helped as it wasn’t obvious how to do this. Really hope this issue is fixed ASAP as otherwise I’ll be looking for a new watch (not from Suunto, needless to say). I’d rather they fixed it though as the watch has been perfect until now. Shouldn’t have rushed that update through before Christmas…

      Instructions repeated below as it seems grim recent posts that they’ve already been lost in the thread.

      @jacassata said in Heart Rate Measurement stops:

      @Ludwig-Pichlbauer
      This is a summary of the instructions that I’ve pulled from this thread, to help the next person like me:

      On watch:
      Long press the middle button to enter Setting.
      Select General.
      Select About.
      Scroll down all the way to the bottom, until you see Data Privacy at the end.
      Long press the lower button to enter the interface.
      Slide down and select “select OTA pkg”.
      You can see the current version and the previous version here.
      Select the previous version to update.

      In app:
      Go to Home screen.
      Click on watch symbol in the upper right corner.
      Click 3 dots in the upper right corner.
      Click About Device
      Click toggle next to “Enable automatic updates” to disable auto updates.

      Fingers crossed this works.

        @Philippe-Maquin the rollback instructions are in the threads here and it is possible and won’t hurt the watch.

          THX for the instructions how to roll back the SW version - worked for me. But please make sure that in the next SW version this bug is fixed.

            @Brad_Olwin Good week
            Now that we are “after the holidays”
            Do you know if there is any news regarding an update for all the watches “affected” in the last update

              For what it’s worth- same here - watch auto updated to 2.39.20 in Dec & since then, all sensors stop (heart rate, oxygen, sleep) frequently- definitely overnight but possibly more frequently than that… all ok after a restart but come on Suunto, you’re better than this!!
              Have been using Suunto products for years & trusted my life in them diving which is why I went with Suunto for fitness watch but starting to regret it again - this looks like a bug reintroduced, really Suunto? This is software change management 101?!

                I’ve had this happen to me several times and it’s only solved by restarting the watch. 😞
                I hope they solve it with the next update.

                    I am having the same problem. I’ve had to restart my watch to get the HR working. My problem - is that I do not have to option under Settings to revert back to the last update. Under Settings - General - I only have About, Software update, Time/Date, Language, Tones, Display, Power saving, Personal, Reset Settings, Power Off. I don’t have Data Privacy as an option. What can I do?

                      @michmccoy same here. Watch is 6 days old. This morning no record of sleep. Not through the day. I read a shutdown and restart of the watch fixes it. Can confirm it does. Assuming it will go for another 6 days and stop again.

                        SPP9: Has anyone already tested the update version 2.39.34.22544 with regard to the heart rate problems described above?
                        I would like to read your experiences first 😉

                          since I bought the problem was persistent just one day per week. But know atfter the updated 2.39.20, is even worse, everyday I have to reset.

                              @claenn I just followed arkaitgavan’s instructions to change the software and I selected the 2.39.34. That was the only other option for software. The previous software was 2.39.20. I was having the same issues with the watch not measuring sleep and not measuring heartrate without a soft reset at least once per day. Fingers crossed. Stay tuned

                                Just to add, I am having the same issue of the optical HR sensor crashing with my Race S (2.39.20). 2.39.34 is not yet available for this watch. Thanks @arkaitzgalvan for the instructions on how to go back to the previous firmware as it didn’t happen before the update.

                                  @Aynrnd , as said in the Suunto app the new version is a downgrade to a previous version of the software to fix a critical issue caused by the latest update. This software is practically the same version as 2.37.48.
                                  If your 9PP was fine before, It should be fine now.
                                  Good luck!
