@johann-fuehrer … btw: Ambit 3 fails with the same, Ambit 2 (with ANT+) has Power, cadence, HR, speed but no DISTANCE updated. So also not 100% what I need.

@morskilav and if you would go to the temperature screen your watch gets the mad cow disease next… I know what you’re talking about. I always vote for much more customization

@Egika - have the same issue with paddleboarding, and have been advised that a fix will be coming. I don’t know about you, but I generally don’t spend all my time looking at my watch, I only tend to look at it occasionally to check heart rate, pace etc, thus I don’t find it a major issue to turn it on and off as it is very easy and quick to turn off the screen - pull down settings bar and press screen off. And just as quick and easy to see tracking - just press suunto button. Do that all the time when paddleboarding, Considering the ambient tracking screen doesn’t show much if any detail anyway, you need to wake the screen, and I suspect that whatever solution they come up will probably be manual -like maybe a long press of the suunto button to turn off screen, short to wake up (as I can’t see how they will find a tilt function that paddling will not activate - maybe hold wrist flat and deadstill, or hold up to waist hight facing face) the current solution isnt that onerous. Would be good to see a long press option on all the buttons, just like the menu/assistant button and have the ability to customise the other long presses with apps/settings.

@SeifertM I thought all was explained in the prior thread. Any magnetic interference will cause the compass to require recalibration. Every time you start FusedTrack you will need to recalibrate.

On Monday I was running with the battery under 15% without issues (using the Polar OH1). So, I do not think is related to the new firmware.

it could also be a low battery level. Below a certain percentage, if I’m not mistaken, the whr reading is excluded.

Perhaps a firmware update come in the same time? Just got an email, preorders are now possible for this and some new colors of the S3.

Thanks for your comments to you all. I think it is an important number which would be nice to have as a “selectable” for a sport mode. It’s the typical number that the profile for road cycling cols tells you, so it’s nice when you are in a climb to know if you are in the “harder” section of the col, or the “softer” section. Having it in SuuntoPlus it’s not interesting for me, as when I activate SuuntoPlus it will make a lap at every uphill, which is something I don’t want. Just as a suggestion, is would be nice to have “Grade” in the long list we have for each sport mode! Thanks!

@juanph I absolutely agree. The navigation screen can have some more information (not only HR) As a workaround you could set HR targets so you get alerts when your HR goes above or beyond certain thresholds.
