@Stefano-M64 said in Suunto Software update Q1 (2.53.42): @Brad_Olwin said in Suunto Software update Q1 (2.53.42): @mich-heller It is in the Navigation screen afteryou select a sport mode and route. the new navigation/climb features are great, a really huge improvement, and the customization of the data field on the map is fantastic! However, I think it would be better to have to possibility to select that data field also before starting the navigation, as one of the settings of the chosen sport mode. If the selected data field would remain memorized for that activity would be the best. The data field selection IS memorized per activity. I guess the current implementation was easier to roll out with this update. Adding this selection to the sport mode customization would require a lot more programming effort in the data transfer to the app and in the apps themselves.

@snow said in New firmware 2.53.42: You need to start the activity Ah! Yes… That works. This was incredibly convoluted… Thanks. Hope my bumbling around will help other users. Edit: Everybody is talking about the Menu only accessible from the Map screen itself (the 3 lines/hamburger icon). Edit 2: And it works even without any Route loaded. Great!

Just got it up and running—hasn’t fixed the Outdoor watchface bug I’ve posted about on another thread, but I’ll see for the sunset alerts, altimeter calibration, and other minor bugs as time goes on. I always just get excited seeing that update notification anyway—always something fun coming! And that continue later button when pausing activities—LETS GOOO!

I have now new informations from the support: At the moment, we are very sorry to inform you that only Points of Interest (POIs) can be set. This means you can mark locations, but the GPX route import and direct route guidance on the watch is not currently supported.

@keiserza said in Vector Classic with added Date: @Stefano-M64 The watch face does not display the date no, just battery percentage, but when you scroll up with the crown the first widget should be battery percentage with the date in small print below that. you are talking about the Control Panel, which I removed since it’s accessible via the lower button… yes, it shows the date too, even if small, however between battery and date I would prefer to have the second one directly on the wf

@aiv4r I agree, although I also use the Suunto Run for trail running. The point is, in my humble opinion, that when you open the Suunto Plus apps the game changes, it opens up many more possibilities for road and trail running. We’ll see

@EzioAuditore That’s disappointing to hear. My run was a 6km zone 2 run, so also an easy run and the watch nailed it- I’m hoping it wasn’t a fluke, although looking at your stats it’s looking like it may have been. I’ll be out again tomorrow for 6-8k so I’ll see how it does then and at the weekend I’ll be doing 13-14k so that should be far enough to get a better idea. It would be useful to hear from one of the people in the know, if this issue was addressed in the update.

@freeheeler said in Recovery: watch and SA differ: @emkei me too… but I found a workaround: in movescount suunto promoted the phone as an extended watch display: that’s what I do. I use the watch mainly to track and record and look at the data in the app only. which data is correct? I don’t know. but it is where I see a long term trend. and I don’t want to worry Yes, this is probably the only way - but still awkward as Suunto is the only company I know having this issue. Unfortunately, this was not the only reason I left - there were differences between watch, iOS app and iPadOS in: steps TSS Recovery Resources HRV And sleep tracking was really off (especially if ready at bed, or working at a standing desk) The thread: Recovery watch & App

@Manuel-Extreme This is shocking to know as it might be a complete deal-breaker for everyone doing triathlons! Usually I connect my HRM before swimming to have it automatically reconnect afterwards for biking and running. But if it does not get any connection while swimming at all (happens quite often to me) it might not automatically reconnect afterwards and leave you without any HR data for the complete race!
