@gshaw34 Hear rate sensor is just bogus. I will post some heart rate screenshots in https://forum.suunto.com/topic/11854/suunto-race-s-optical-heart-rate-sensor-accuracy/13

@kaab6271 as there is an Auto DND feature I asked specifically for manual activation. So, my guess is that enabling DND makes the watch more aware of a possible sleep cycle or napping. I don’t know if it doesn’t work without enabling DND. I only tried one night and it didn’t detect sleep. But as Suunto doesn’t respect focus modes on iOS it sends all the notifications over to the watch even with “sleep” focus mode. Therefore disabling DND has not proven to be useful to me…

@JousseG said in Race S with decathlon HR belt: But with the race S, on the activity selection screen, the belt icon is not stable. It varies between grey, green and green with the HR. Same here, with Decathlon HRM belt and Suunto Race This belt has worked flawlessly with Garmin Fenix and Wahoo Bolt v2 for the last year.

Last week I set an alarm for midnight (0:00) It never went off. Luckily I was awake at 23:50 and I usually don’t have to wake up at that time. (An other problem is lack of configuration options. My workdays are from monday to Thursday. That cannot be set on a Suunto. Also an alarm on every Saturday, to not miss parkrun, cannot be done. But that is by ‘design’ and not by buggy software)

@elbee said in Vibration off (only) for mobile notifications: I recently switched from garmin back to suunto and in general I’m happy with it. There is 1 area that needs attention from developers and that is in configuration options. Not only for beeps and vibration, but also for alarms and specify datafields on lapscreen or mapscreen. To name a few. And why can’t I exit an buildin activity? In stead of useful firmware changes suunto added trackmode. I train on a track every week and I think it doesn’t add any value. And I never heard anybody in my athletics club complain track training is difficult due to lack of support on their watch. We need more flexibility and configurations. Agree on the need for more flexibility in settings. It would make a big difference if we could customize things like vibrations, alerts, and screen layouts separately. The current all-or-nothing approach limits how people can adapt the watch to their daily use or training style. I also found it odd that some built-in activities can’t be exited or tweaked easily. Hopefully, Suunto considers more user-configurable options in future updates.

@Tomas5 @Egika thank you both for the replies. and I agree: It would be nice if suunto would be more specific “officially” on the materials used.

@sang-shin-Lee Yes. Now more often then before I encounter black map situation. Also, more often changing route to another during activity fails.

@isazi, Any idea why - 1, I found strange behaviour of the watch, no matter what battery performance I set on my custom biking activity, after every activity battery goes back to the “Performance” option. Generally, I keep settings to ultra. This will lead you to force-check everything again and again before you start the activity. (Basically, it does not save my custom settings for the battery)

to belatedly answer OP’s question- no. that’s up to runna: https://www.reddit.com/r/runna/s/taOZEHULZw but there’s another suunto bug that means runna won’t work properly anyway: https://forum.suunto.com/topic/12624/laps-are-not-exported-from-app-to-strava-and-fit-file-correctly-breaks-runna - nothing runna can do about that one.

@Krawuzi said in Faulty screen: I have the same issue. One week my Race S worked perfectly and suddenly, after loading it the system started to collaps frequently. Soft reset didn´t work. Text is: ERROR 1403,1403 SW-Version 2.37.34 Also setting it back to Factory setting doesn´t help. The “support” is practically not existing. The “chat” on the homepage not working. Talking to an AI not helping and referring to a support number that doesn´t exist. Can anyone here help me? The best thing is that you send it for repair, I do not have a link but I’m sure you will find it in Suunto’s web page.

@Danny-poleg I’d go so dar as to say I’d prefer they turn off stroke recognition, it’s more like a random number generator. What I care about, which might be different to you, is overall distance and HR.

@sky-runner you are right, this guide is not something that you can install, it is something that is there if you have Strava Premium and starred segments, no way to manually install it. As for the amount of segments that can be stored, not sure, there is probably a limit but I am not aware of the number.
