HotFix release 2.25.66
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Dimitri good morning. I saw that on the previous update (2.25.64) there is a mention on compass calibration fixed.
I did update to the latest version (2.25.66) yesterday in hope that it would fix this problem too, yet I tend to tangle my hands around trying to make this 8 shape for calibrating the compass in vain.
Note that I have managed with the old version to calibrate it once (one month ago). From there on it always asks me to calibrate it back with no success. I also own two core black suunto’s in several years time and I did not have this problem.
I know that this is not an OpenWaterTracking issue yet I do not know if the newer version does fix the problem with the compass calibration too (I suppose it should).
Thanks

Hi guys. I had another crash/restart of my vertical right after I start my exercise. I sent logs to suunto right after watch recover. Luckily this was “just a ride”, but it is not funny anymore considering it can happen on the start of the race. PM me if you need more info.

Did you contact support or someone here (eg. @isazi , @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos ) ?
Because just sending logs is not really useful -
@sartoric I know it is not useful to just send logs. This is why I wrote here, so someone can contact me in case it is not already identified bug or suunto need more info.

@dombo
Well I would do it the opposite way … I would contact someone to communicate the log id and the issue -

I got crash after 2.8km on slow run. I had S+ Aerobic decoupling on, custom sportmode with two screens (4 fields) and map. Crash happend right after I cycled through fields which was first time during my run. After 200m screen was black and watch restarted.

Hi all,
this is my first post here. I was using for more than 10 years my Ambit2 without issues and I love it. Recently I decided to move to Suunto Vertical Solar but I have an strange issue. My issue is that in Snorkeling mode, I can’t see the proper displays (Dive session, Underwater,…), the ones showed here: https://www.suunto.com/en-gb/Support/Product-support/suunto_vertical/suunto_vertical/recording-an-exercise/snorkeling-and-mermaiding/
If I try to customize sport mode for Snorkeling, I see the displays for running.
Any help is more than welcome.
Thanks in advance,
Angel

@lexterm77 I have seen this a couple times but cannot reliably replicate it. A watch reboot should fix it.
-
So i got the new fix but my watch always count only 7 or 9 meters of swimming…
Any ideas? -
@unocz
what swim style do you practise? -
@freeheeler Open water swimming (basic)
-
@unocz
this is the selected sport mode, as I understand.
I just wonder if you did a simple breaststroke (hands always in the water) or freestyle (hands out of the water to move them forward again)? -
@unocz I swam today. When your hand is in the water, you lose the gps connection. Now and then you have to get hand out of the water at surface.
-
Just the normal swimming with hands under the water all the time ….
-
@Highlands
But that’s a joke or? That means it’s impossible to record your track while swimming. It tought this update should fix it. Older models don’t got that problem or? -
@unocz
In fact, if you keep your watch always under water there is no way for the GPS signal to reach it. -
Wow, ok so I have to deal with that….
Thanks anyway -
@unocz
yes, but that’s the same for every watch.
satellite signals do not enter the water at all. no chance to calculate your position when the watch is submerged only a tiny little bit
