Locking this topic, as it was meant for watch release and too large now. If you have any issues or want to discuss something - please search on the forum first and then create a new topic if haven’t found it already.

@jamie-bg said in Suunto 7: I really don’t think you can go wrong these days no matter which fitness platform you use Wow, impressive review, thanks for that! I wrote a long post about my own odyssey through the Smartwatch jungle but I found, that I got lost in all the features and I could not find the ideal watch. For me Suunto has some „sophisticated simplicity“ which makes me feel „home“. It does want I need and I can trust the data (besides Resources atm ). The only other brand I really trust like that and that has the same “magic” for me is Polar and I still have my trusted Vantage M which I use from time to time. My son owns and is a great fan of Apple Watches and I can use one whenever I like. The battery is just too weak for me using it as a sportswatch, but the sensors are really great and HR and other data from it is impressively correct and trustworthy.

Since the recent update, has anyone else had the resources have long gaps? Noticed the gap overnight and again today during the activity. [image: 1750185404539-9df5307c-91af-4a31-ac03-155a8ab9fe2d-image.jpeg] Also noticed (unrelated to the update) that the resources never go below 10%, even if I’ve not really slept so it’s at 10% first thing.

It would be useful to start an activity at the end of a countdown.

@Klaane said in Battery drain: The battery on my Suunto Vertical Solar has dropped from fully charged to 55% in only two days. Last night it dropped by 15% while I was sleeping with the watch on. I have mobile notifications and 24/7 HR turned on but it still shouldn’t drain that fast, right? Standby backlight is off and I’ve used GPS for less than 10 minutes during those two days. Do I have a defective battery or could this be some other issue? It sounds frustrating! While mobile notifications and 24/7 HR can drain the battery, a 15% drop overnight seems excessive. Try resetting your watch or updating the firmware. If the issue persists, contacting Suunto support might help.

@timecode said in What do you expect from the next update?: My 3 wishes: possibility to enable tones only during activities possibility to disable vibration of the scrolling wheel only bluetooth management (which is apparently coming, I hope) Disabling vibration only when scrolling, and keeping it for sports/notification… I can’t believe there’s still not an option to do that… It’s important for me, especially for phone calls, so I am forced to have vibration when using crown…

@regger said in So, what are you going to do after Movescount closes?: Is there any possibility to transfer the tags of the moves to another plattform? I will miss them…I used movescount for searching of activity data of past activities still quite often in the last months. It’s more of a general question and by “another platform” you don’t mean Suunto App? If that platform can import tags or you just want to append those to the description field and you can go though data wrangling step yourself and all you are missing are Movescount tags (and perhaps descriptions and all other meta-data) in some machine-readable format (like json) or you just want to create a spreadsheet with descriptions and tags and dates and everything for searching for your past activities, then sure, it’s all in the MoveList - https://www.movescount.com/Move/MoveList

@szleslie I asked support. The main reason is iOS System Permissions and Design Limitations and Differences Between Android and iOS Platforms. Android is more flexible.

@isazi Thanks a lot. Yes it’s related to the incomplete recording matter. Once saved it shows the whole route but if you want while recording to check where you started it deletes the first bits. Quite harsh once on glaciers where you need to follow the exact route back and it does not appear. But I guess you got what the issue is related to. Thanks a lot
