@Milan-Šádek said in Map Rendering and Trail Visibility after Software Update 2.43.8/.12: @sky-runner at least for Vertical you can choose 25, 50, 100, 200, 500 m and 1, 2, 5, 10 an 20 km. I find 25 m very handy e.g. while geacaching. The same for the Race and Race S, and 25m zoom is useful for me in case of consecutive forks and/or complex terrain topology. Actually, trails visibility is often challenging, unless you are following a route, since they are way thicker!

@pcosm I find 10% per day way too much - with 24/7 HR, notifications, sleep on and 12+ hours of GPS per week I have long-time average around 6,5%/d.

@Elipsus What should I care about the release date? If there was a defective batch, it should be recalled and customers should be replaced with a non-defective product. I don’t even recall any official word from Suunto on this matter. A second Suunto Vertical purchased in May 2024 still had this defect. That’s why I’m talking about years. The customer doesn’t care about the release date, production date, or defective batches. What matters is the purchase date and the length of time the defective product has been on the market without any action from the manufacturer.

@sky-runner thanks!!! seems to be a related issue… This was my route and the watch started to have that erroneous behaviour when at the point that I’ve highlighted in red, I followed the route in reverse. From there the screen was always ON and the elevation profile was not reversed as the route. [image: 1753678482377-97d09b46-4a88-4319-b372-75e9ba7cf314-image.png]

I wish for the only vibration alert (not vibration+sound alert) for the phone call on the watch…like for the clock alarm

@BrunoH so i followed the resources a little bit more and as I can tell there are no tweaks made by Suunto that have changed it for me. It still goes up to 99 every morning no matter what I do. But since Suunto is not using their algorithm in their new watches after the vertical a suspect it will never change and it is what it is.

@dommywalsh mine is two weeks old and I have just had this happen at one hour and 55 minutes. After it reset itself I began the activity again but when downloaded, the app picked up the activity first but didn’t analyse it so the metrics of the activity don’t appear.

@Mff73 The Suunto Ocean dive computer uses different sampling rates for scuba and freediving modes to match the demands of each activity. In scuba mode, the device logs dive data at 10-second intervals, balancing data detail with battery efficiency for longer dives. In contrast, freediving mode records data every 1 second to accurately capture rapid depth changes and short dive durations. These rates apply to key metrics such as depth, time, temperature, and heart rate, and are stored in the logbook for later review. Currently, these sampling rates are fixed and not user-adjustable. Some other dive computers have adjustable and higher sampling rates.

@Egika said in Software Update 2.43.8/.12 (2025 Q2): @Kaiphi said in Software Update 2.43.8/.12 (2025 Q2): I noticed a mistake in the sport mode mountain bike downhill. When I start the activity, it shows me the duration, but not the depth meters and distance. These remain at 0. After exiting, however, everything is displayed. Does anyone else have that? I had the same today on two out of 3 watches. The third one showed all data correctly. Reported it to Suunto Thx! Is there a statement from suunto until when this will be fixed? Was back in the bike park for the weekend and the problem still exists
