@sky-runner said in Vertical 2 during 14.5 hour long ultra: If it is vector based it should be relatively easy to make the level of details optional for those users who really need it. Exactly! Someone getting an idea to hide trails at 500m and above is weird enough, but that the idea actually makes it all the way to production firmware, unchallenged, is quite shocking.

The Race 2 is my first Smart/Sports watch and I am quite happy I got a titanium version on a good bargain second hand and I like the look and feel (although I like the bezel of the Vertical or Race1 more). I am on my 10th day and the battery is at 25% with 24/7 HR measurement, sleep tracking and wake-on-rise with only display showing. So far in my 10 days I had 2 GPS activities and 4 non-GPS activities logged. I don’t know exactly if the battery life statement of 18 days includes logged trainings but I cant imagine how to reach 18 days but lets see still happy with the battery. I think the crown moves too easily and would wish for more haptic feedback. Sleep tracking seems to be quite good, although it misses sometimes some short awake times. I really love the screen and UI

Today I ran “out and back”. At the end of “out” I stopped for 40 minutes. I paused the activity, to save the battery I switched the battery mode to Tour mode. After the stop I switched the battery mode back to Endurance mode and ran back. All data off the activity is correct: Distance, Times, Elevation profile, Pace etc. But the gps track shows the “out” part only, not the “back” part. @Elvis-Tavarez Hi I’m trying some plannings with the coach AI , and I have the same trouble that you. Suunto Coah it’s very simple, most of the plans don’t specify the intervals, recoveries, warm up time etc. in the calendar. So then in the Race watch is worst, you need to plan manually. I think that Suunto need more work over trainning plans, competence like Garmin or Coros plan you the series including rythm based on your goals etc , and you don’t need to do anything on the watch. Same issue. Everything is up-to-date on my 9PP: latest firmware, latest app. “0/4” watch faces installed. Blank watch faces page in store. How is it that an installed watch face can be disabled remotely? Not cool. Oh, wait… Looks like it was fixed while I was typing this? Or maybe there’s some extreme latency on the server side. I just let the app sit there on the watch faces page for several minutes. It’s now re-syncing my watch faces with my watch. Fingers crossed…

ZS Can you provide an image of ZS working on your watch? You are sure the belt is connected and sending good data? I have not had a problem with this.

@francesco-boschini On the latest firmware 2.26.8 the actual height appears in mountain biking (trial) only on the second display in the middle left side and the total ascent appears in the upper right side. In normal cycling exercise there is no actual height displayed only total ascent. If you use a predefined route in navigation mode, then you have the actual height displayed as graph in a separate display.

Hello, today we noticed this issue on my wifes 5 Peak. Unfortunatelly it has already 2.5 year so it is not under warranty anymore. And she is light user, and not wearing it while washing dishes, showering, sleeping etc. Only around 9hours a day during working days only and then while cycling/hiking but thats few times a month. Hello, lately I heard some “click-clack” from inside my Ambit-3. I opened it and saw that the GPS antenna was broken. A few days before I opened my son’s Ambit-2 Peak as its battery is nearly dead and I wanted to look for the battery’s specs. So I switched the Ambit-2’s gps antenna to the Ambit-3. But now the Ambit-3 runs into errors (looping into “Connect to Moveslink”). Rollback to the broken antenna fixes that. The antenna is labeled as a Partron ANPP1585F4ZSA, which can also be seen on https://fccid.io/RYP23391/Internal-Photos/Internal-photos-2371063 But I wasn’t able to find anything about that in www. Does anybody here has an idea where to find/buy the antenna? Regards, Chris

I haven’t used my D5 since January; I got it out of the cupboard today to charge it as it’s dead, but I can’t remember how to attach the charger. I’ve searched the manual but it just says ‘attach’, it doesn’t explain how. There’s a red thing on the end of the cable which I seem to recall ‘snaps’ onto the watch, but right now it’s not snapping onto anything - it doesn’t stick to the back of the watch like I seem to remember. Have I got this totally wrong? Please can someone explain in simple terms how to attach the charger?! Thanks

@Tieutieu said in Feature request : set an alarm during exercice: Hey, I couldn’t find any post or topic related : when an alarm is set before starting exercice, it rings during exercice. But we can’t set a new alarm when an exercice has started. It would be so useful to be able to activate a new alarm through exercice options. For instance during a nap on an ultra trail race. This summer I missed that so much during a 39h race, and had to use my phone instead. Oh man, I’m sleeping thru a watch alarm on a dirt nap LOL Otherwise yes, love this idea

@Tomas5 A little late, but yes - at least my Race S has automatic brightness. It works sometimes good, sometimes really bad. Must of the summer with the bright sun coming from one side you either have a really bright and readable display (sun side) or its unreadable (shadow side). Yesterday on a sunny autumn trailrun in the woods it worked really great. I think the more dizzy light helps. My conclusion is: AMOLED can work great - when the software helps to optimize the light settings. There is room for improvement and so is hope…

@Alpha-156.42 said in OHR: Why do people believe that optical heart rate sensors, no matter if they’re from Garmin, Apple, or other brands, can measure heart rate accurately in every situation? This is why, text directly from suunto race 2 product page: The redesigned back panel enables better heart rate measurement from the wrist. The result? A seamless, powerful training experience. But text that it doesn’t work for everyone or every skin tone is buried somewhere in usermanual only. It is same with sleeptracking or any other metric. If you sell device for 500€ and advertise that it does something, then you must expect that people will require that advertised features just works. This is overal problem of marketing, not just Suunto.

@sky-runner Ok, I think I see where you mean - that small section between the two dots (waypoints or turns)? So you think it just skipped ahead while you were somewhere on section 6? (Sorry, I’m trying to follow along.) Perhaps in addition to the watch always trying to figure out which direction you’re traveling, it’s also always trying to figure out where you are along the route, rather than just assuming you are strictly moving from one point to the next. So maybe somewhere along section 6, it incorrectly guessed you were farther along in your route (since the paths cross at 6/7) and updated the directional arrow accordingly, but hadn’t yet updated the distance remaining since that lags behind. I’d bet if you had followed the light blue path, away from your car, the remaining distance would have also skipped ahead soon after. But since you followed the route as planned, it didn’t have time to adjust to this mistake. Whatever is going on, you are correct that it’s screwy and inconsistent.

@duffman19 said in Suunto navigation tendency to auto-reverse route when it shouldn't. Bug or misguided feature?: I think the best solution is to offer a menu option to navigate a route backwards, so the user must knowingly select it. I agree, happened to me today as well. I may be mistaken but iirc that was possible when I used the Ambit 3 peak

@raven I totally agree with you on this. I would seriously consider it as a daily driver if it has better watch faces (or at least updates rather than the original set still…) and maps. I could probably live without ZS, but I love Climb Guidance and better watch faces.

@Thunderchicken Yes, there is a SuuntoPlus app named Emergency Info that does exactly this. When active, it rotates between two screens: one showing medical details, and another showing emergency contacts. It takes up one of the two available SuuntoPlus slots and is only visible while recording an activity, but it would serve a similar purpose as your note. It would be nice to have this feature always available as a widget. Maybe in the future SuuntoPlus apps will work this way… [image: 1758318937437-img_de4b173e85d7-1.jpeg]

@dombo I got rid of my ghost sensor via a hard reset. The problem that my power meter is detected as a speed sensor that does not transmit data remained. So I decided to downgrade to the prior version because support advised me to do so.

Well the storm alert worked on my 9 Baro reliably, but on S9PP, Vertical and Race I have never received any alert. I already forgot that there is such a function.
