@elbee said in And Suunto does it again: mid-activity crash on Suunto Race: @wakarimasen But to say the ones who do not post don’t have any problem is a bit too simple. There are people who have problems but aren’t bothered by them. Or they simple don’t know there is a forum. They might complain on strava that their watch crashed. Just under a 1000 forum members (according the to numbers in the various groups)

@elbee said in Track Mode: It’s probably the track isn’t an official athletics track. Trackmode doesn’t make gps more accurate. It just snaps you gpx to what it thinks is the track. Yeah, understood. I don’t know the precise dimensions of the track. I know that the IAAF permits three non-standard dimensions, including double-bend 400 meter tracks. I believe (but don’t know for certain) that this track is a double-bend with a 97.256 meter straightaway and inner curves of 102.744 meters. This is the common alternative for tracks that enclose an American football field. I don’t understand the need for trackmode. I do tracktraining every week at my athletics club. We usually do interval training with intervals between 200 and 800 meters. There are marks all over the track, so knowing the distance is easy. Also, there are tables with times you have to run for each interval, depending on your 5k or 10k time. All you really need is a stopwatch. If the athlete is using GPS for pace and distance, then the advantage of track mode is getting precise measurements without the GPS wiggle. If your coach assigns 25×400m reps at a specific pace, track mode ensures the recorded pace accurately reflects the execution. With that said, if you are using a foot pod rather than GPS for pace and distance, such as Stryd, then track mode is unnecessary as the pace and distance will be accurate from the foot pod’s calibration. The GPS track in that case is just a breadcrumb of where you were, but isn’t part of the pace/distance calculation. Regardless, having the right dimension helps the coach know if you started your kick on the bend (as in the case of 400 meter tracks with 84.39 meter straights) or if you started on the straight. This might be valuable information to have if the track is outdoors and it’s windy. Sure, it’s nice to have your training recorded and some people might be annoyed if their interval is reported as 420m iso 400. But for your traning is doesn’t make any difference. And even the snap to lane 1 isn’t right. There are other people training or you run in a pack and you cannot always be in the inner lane. Many days when doing reps on the the track, I’m alone. Usually when I run with a club, it’s long runs on the weekend, not track sessions in the morning/evening (although I know they exist).

Hi, Can anyone help with this dilemma please. I can’t seem to figure out how to get my indoor rowing and cycling sessions to log on the phone app as an activity. If I look through my watch logbook the sessions are all there, however they are not showing/syncing to my app at all so it looks as though I’m not doing as many workouts as I am. So my weekly data is all wrong! Any ideas anyone? Many thanks Tasha

Merci ! Björn

Hi all! My Android mobile phone can connect and be paired with my Suunto 5, but it keeps on pairing once both devices are connected. Obviously, no performance data is automatically synced. The app and softwares are updated. What might be the problem? Thanks!

Interesting take! A lightweight Suunto with Stryd support would be a game-changer for runners. I doubt they’ll add it, but if they did, I’d consider it too. The T6c was legendary—2000 miles is impressive!

@nseslija all S series are compatible with Strava Segments, or better will be. I believe it was rolled out with last update, but there was a bug so it has been disabled, fixed, and now it is being tested. I do not know if another update will be needed before segments are available again.

Posting it here (I have since updated to 2.33, but this happened under2.30.38) as I read that it used to be a known bug on the 9PP: Last week I finished a short yoga workout (25 min.) and my 9PP stayed in saving state for over 10 min. I could unfreeze it by coupling the charging cable, then activity showed as saved and gave me the summary. Thought it might be good to keep it as a record. I’ll of course monitor if this happens on the new FW. Enjoy your day everyone! [image: 1711612408201-3841cece-88a8-4b14-8f62-082089593a6f-img_2515-4311.jpg]

@Tomas5 I just watched this really cool video review of the Vertical. It goes into some fantastic detail on the navigation features AND its done showing the touchscreen in the rain. Shout out to this channel! I think I enjoyed it more than DCR or Desfit to be quite honest: Active Ideas: https://youtu.be/Ldx_YPgU87c [image: 1684075588976-e8e88cae-9a66-499b-914b-ee24a08bb50b-screenshot_20230514-073128-2.png]

@dankcushions someone on here have a great tip. Sometimes if you add one planning point and move it the whole route changes. Which is annoying. But if you add three, the one you want to move and two lock points you can then edit a section without the whole route changing .

Hello, Thanks for your help. I received this week my H10. The size M-XXL is the correct one for me. The H10 broadcast directly the data in ANT+ and Bluetooth, no need to set. So it’s work fine with my Ambit2 and iPad.
