@jannis That’s a pretty generalised view you’re posting about the Suunto. As I mentioned above, it works for me – just as accurately as it did with my Garmin Epix back then. And I ask myself: what’s wrong with resources rising again during the day, even if I don’t take a nap? When I’m sitting relaxed on the sofa, it’s definitely restorative.

@vinc14 in my case, rebooting my phone helps, at least for a while, see also here Obviously that’s not a solution.

@sky-runner Touch on map only in definiitevely the best option for me also with a way to turn touch on/off globally in a quick menu, upvoted This will also avoid turning off an morning alarm by unwanted screen touch btw

@Brad_Olwin As I said in my original post this wasn’t the issue. This issue fixed itself and I am now able to see zonesense data on the watch and in the app, and I am not sure but believe one of the 2 following things fixed it: HRM 200 version updated to 5.40 Looking at the HRM 200 manual (Manual) I realized the device have 2 connection types: secure and open. Secure is when the device blinks green twice and open when it blinks green three times. I am not sure what was the connection type when I originally tried to make it work, but when trying again after opening this thread I made sure to use the open connection state. My hypothesis is that one of the two fixed my issue. Leaving this for future reference and future google searches, as when I searched this I didn’t find anything related.

@pilleus Interesting that it has happened twice to you. Unfortunately re-syncing with SA hasn’t helped me. I think that’s due to my older software version, though.

I did a late run yesterday. In the middle of the activity the screen turned off, in spite of being in always on mode. From that moment on I had to press a button every time I wanted to turn it on, the gesture didn’t work. It took me a while to guess that it was due to DND mode starting in the middle of the activity.

@francesco-boschini On the latest firmware 2.26.8 the actual height appears in mountain biking (trial) only on the second display in the middle left side and the total ascent appears in the upper right side. In normal cycling exercise there is no actual height displayed only total ascent. If you use a predefined route in navigation mode, then you have the actual height displayed as graph in a separate display.

@ryhoage Same issue here, in my case MIUI 13 on Android 12. The phone reboot when bluetooth is disabled. I understand if it were a crash or something similar, but reboot the phone is a serious issue that must be fixed.

Hello, today we noticed this issue on my wifes 5 Peak. Unfortunatelly it has already 2.5 year so it is not under warranty anymore. And she is light user, and not wearing it while washing dishes, showering, sleeping etc. Only around 9hours a day during working days only and then while cycling/hiking but thats few times a month. Good day, I have a Suunto Spartan Ultra and have had it for 8 years. From my last Samsung UI update my watch has not synced my daily steps with the Suunto app. I have tried the following but not success: Restart phone and watch. Reinstall Suunto App Force stop Suunto App Unpair watch from phones Bluetooth and reconnect. Gave all items on Suunto App permission. Made sure Suunto APP and phone is not on energy saving mode. If anyone has a solution please assist. Kind regards

Hello, lately I heard some “click-clack” from inside my Ambit-3. I opened it and saw that the GPS antenna was broken. A few days before I opened my son’s Ambit-2 Peak as its battery is nearly dead and I wanted to look for the battery’s specs. So I switched the Ambit-2’s gps antenna to the Ambit-3. But now the Ambit-3 runs into errors (looping into “Connect to Moveslink”). Rollback to the broken antenna fixes that. The antenna is labeled as a Partron ANPP1585F4ZSA, which can also be seen on https://fccid.io/RYP23391/Internal-Photos/Internal-photos-2371063 But I wasn’t able to find anything about that in www. Does anybody here has an idea where to find/buy the antenna? Regards, Chris

I haven’t used my D5 since January; I got it out of the cupboard today to charge it as it’s dead, but I can’t remember how to attach the charger. I’ve searched the manual but it just says ‘attach’, it doesn’t explain how. There’s a red thing on the end of the cable which I seem to recall ‘snaps’ onto the watch, but right now it’s not snapping onto anything - it doesn’t stick to the back of the watch like I seem to remember. Have I got this totally wrong? Please can someone explain in simple terms how to attach the charger?! Thanks

Yesterday I swam 50 laps, so 1250 m, but Race S fw 2.39. 44 only recorded 1075 m. It lost 7 laps! The first 20 laps I did freestyle + backstroke and the last 30 only freestyle (see image below). At the end of every 25 m I pressed the down button to track the lap. [image: 1742726260383-a412a7b0-1d44-4c68-b08c-4c9beaf73e72-image.png] I did the same training as the previous week, see https://forum.suunto.com/post/163734 Please Suunto, it’s time to fix the incorrect distance estimation in swimming. People can buy Suunto because it’s very nice but if it doesn’t do the main job (recording the activity correctly), they will go and buy other sports watches. Thanks.

Notifications is the only one for me. There are 2 issues with the ‘do not disturb’ option in an activity: When you enable it for an activity it then doesn’t disable after the activity finishes. When you enable it you block not only general notifications but also all activity-specific notifications such as auto lap, above/below zone and structured workout alerts. The other item I would have added to this list is disabling the display - but that was added in a firmware update recently It’s great not having my watch light up a darkened room during a yoga cooldown

@sky-runner I agree with 1 and some of 2 but keep programmable distance to next field. Coros just added that actually with direction symbol. It’s very useful for those of us that don’t like flipping screens during our activities. You can always create 2 custom sports modes, one with nav. and one without …

@maszop said in Altitude/elevation fallback to GPS: Altimeter data from GPS alone is usually useless. There’s no point arguing about it. you’re right, the are no reasons to replay to you.

@sky-runner I agree completely, I was just suggesting quite a lot of what you would like is “almost” there so the step forward wouldn’t be massive. There is the suunto+ app that you can setup with notes at times or distances (I think) that might also be of help if you’ve not tried it. I do think it would be good to have more of this baked in though. As you say, the FIT file format would allow for custom fields so being able to add metadata to a waypoint in a route plan such as arrival time or nutrition notes or anything else you want would be easy and flagging the waypoint in some way could allow the watch to show stats between points or assent to next point etc. very easily. @2b2bff I think Suunto’s biggest concern with increasing the number of S+ apps, based on previous comments in this forum, is the battery drain. I get the impression Suunto are keen that their watches meet the advertised battery duration even with all the features in use - including maps, vertical climb info and 2 S+ apps. Maybe a solution here would be to allow more apps but with a warning that pops up to highlight estimated battery life will be less accurate with more apps. Personally I never push the limits of the battery on my Race S and would love to make more use of S+ apps - or even just 2 apps and a workout.

Had the same problem the last days. The calibration only works if you are constantly running the same pace. Warmup, Cooldown, Intervalls - everything completly off Treadmill mode os not usable that way, a manual calibration for different paces would probably help

@dankcushions someone on here have a great tip. Sometimes if you add one planning point and move it the whole route changes. Which is annoying. But if you add three, the one you want to move and two lock points you can then edit a section without the whole route changing .

@sky-runner as far as I learned over the last weeks this is the correct forum for your suggestions and feedback. As I learned as well there are some persons in here that work for Suunto or beta test for them, so I guess it will reach them…

@isazi is it an App problem? During the transition phase when two services were running, App and movescount , it was possible to create custom tri mode in movescount.
