Last night, I performed a soft reset and left the Vertical on the table as usual. However, I didn’t notice that the top right button was accidentally pressed, which kept it in the activities menu and resulted in a 15% battery drain overnight.

It may give some more proofs for a faulty sensor (once sure you have well cleaned the sensor with warm water, etc…)

I found the solution on my own – effective in my case, because I see that my colleague @marekbm_cze has the same problem, and the solution I applied doesn’t work for him…

First, I disconnected the watch, cleared the Bluetooth cache for all watches, then cleared the app’s cache and user data – which resulted in an automatic logout. I logged in again, paired the watch once more, and finally, the data is being correctly transmitted and displayed.

What I don’t understand is… why does Suunto make everything so “complicated”? It frustrates the user and requires so much troubleshooting… Is it really that hard for everything to just work correctly out of the box?!? Ehhhh 😕

hi all, i have several suunto watches (vertical, race, race S, Ocean, suunto 9, 9 Peak pro etc etc).
Only with the suunto 9 peak pro the suunto app stucks when sync the gps performace… then said “reconnect”… to solve i need to do a soft reset of the watch pressing upper button for 12 seconds.
With the other watches, there is no problem to sync… only with the Peak Pro…
I have already done the usual actions like unpair, hard reset, unistall app etc etc…
Any idea?

I am trying to make my suunto 9 baro vibrate when I get a notification, my tones setting is “all off” and my vibration is “all on” in tones>general. It receives notifications (I see the pop-up and notification history) and buttons vibrate correctly but notifications don’t vibrate at all. I have already restarted my watch.

Thank you for the information, but the application you are writing about does not support Suunto 7 😞

@Kakit normally with Suunto you would achieve this by designing custom sports mode on the app. I haven’t got the 5 but would think that is probably the same.

@Alexandra-Cioc It could be a hardware problem in the watch, but I can’t say for sure with this information. Check the “i” icon next to “Update failed”, what does it show?

Every time I read things like that I am surprised how good the Ambit series was and also shocked why things like that got dropped … was this something that Suunto had licensed from another company and therefore it was dropped? Does anyone know?
