I just tried this since I was wondering the same thing (I have two phones that I switch between, one running old SA software and one with the new offline map option). So it will work, but the key is to remove the pairing from the watch only (Settings > Connectivity > Paired devices > MobileApp > Forget). This will keep the watch associated with the device you are moving away from and thus keep the offline maps as available option. However, if you remove the watch from the app by using the “Manage connection” option, offline maps disappear. I assume this will work for a tablet running SA as well.

    I voted for AMOLED; I understand the arguments for MIP—my wife wears an Enduro 3. For me, AMOLED is always easier to see, and Suunto doesn’t suffer as much from higher battery consumption with the map screen as Garmin does; I don’t need more than 24 hours of battery life. I like how Suunto handles the power-saving screen—it still shows the map, so I don’t always have to wake the watch to full display.

    @isazi Thanks for the update, I really do hope we get the features, as swimming is primarily my sport. And the watch is both diving and sport advertised. Also, the fact that Suunto recommended this knowing my use case does not seem to make sense at this point. I would really like to get involved to help the delays on the Ocean, as it is a solid product just lacks the support in comparison to the other outdoor watches.

    @Christoph-Van-Laethem In here the bubble appears : https://www.suunto.com/fr-fr/Assistance/ I realized that the bubble doesn’t come on when using my main browser (Firefox), probably due to the ad blockers I added, so i use Edge only for Suunto support
